hey guys!dont laugh at me please!heres my problem.. i have a lot a small tiny white spots on the base of my penis! i have done my research and concluded that they are called fordyce spots...in simpler terms they are inflammed oil glands!

fordyce spots have no health hazards at all..they are, according to the internet 'totally normal'..and they cannot be transferred to another person..therefore they are completely harmless! however, in saying that i am very insecure about them as they are unsightly and i am afraid of a womans reaction to them! they are barely visible in dim light but can be clearly seen under bright light!

i was wondering if anyone else has got the same problem as me..

and secondly.. do you think these spots would freak a girl out?!

I had a sebacious cyst (very similar, except it had mass) a while back. didnt even make a difference. if they ask about it, just tell them. any girl you are doing that with... you should have at least a little foundation of trust with them anyway right?

A couple of months ago, I happened to notice a lot of these white spots at the base of my penis. They itched a bit and after a couple of days, they stopped itching, but became really painful when I touched them. I freaked out and I was really scared, so I told my mother. She told me to wait a couple of days and then if the problem persisted to see a doctor. I did as she suggested, but I completely forgot about them and they disappeared 1-2 days later. I think it lasts about a week or so. I really have no idea what they are due to, but it could be a really innocous infection or even just a skin irritation due to sex or masturbation.
