The NRA has won so many political battles that it is now getting desperate for new reasons to solicit donations. Now that they have concealed carry in every state except Illinois I think, they have to go after the restrictions on the concealed carry laws, which are places like college campuses and school buses, because obviously, if we could just get more guns on school buses, then we could really get this country turned around.

And the idea that your ar-15 is going to save you from a government that wants to oppress you is another creation of the NRA. Until you get your own aircraft carrier and nuclear subs, the US government would squash you like a bug, regardless of how many guns you have. If you're talking about resisting a militarily powerful foreign invader, yes it has been done on rare occasions in places like Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq, but in those places, especially the latter two, improvised explosives are the weapon of choice. Until they make farming illegal, diesel fuel and fertilizer will always be everywhere. Every farmer has a barn full of both. Very cynical Bible. I disagree.

The powers that be continually chip away at our freedoms including the right to keep and bear arms. The NRA is a buffer to those who wish to take away our freedoms which are gauranteed to us under our constitution. Those who assert their own agendas, for their own purposes need to be held at bay. The NRA does this.

It doesnt take a genius to realize that the first condition to dominate someone is that someone to be unable to fight back or retaliate.

The only thing in which communist dictators, fascist ones and all tyrants in general agree is that the population must be disarmed.

And the fact that the army has bombs doesnt mean that the airforce would bomb civilians standing their ground, its not uncommon in history that the army or part of it joins the revolting population.

The argument of many anti-gun zealots is that one could never muster the power to face the Government. And they are correct, if one only considers a conservative approach to battle.

When faced with the prospect of battling ANYTHING, I would much rather have a gun, than to not have one.

I am honestly shocked at how many people want to remove gun-ownershiop despite the second ammendment right to own one. It's as if people cannot connect the dots enough to realize that removing one right makes the rest fair game for removal.

And yes, one of the first things that dictators do when seizing power is to remove the ability for individuals to defend themselves. All of course, with nothing but the noblest of "good intentions". It truly is awful how people with such a glaring lack of vision have the power to significantly affect our lives by voting for, and supporting such ignorance.

I think folks go too far sometimes, thinking buying guns is a way to protect themselves from the government.

Our 2nd amendment rights need to be preserved. The best way to do that, is responsible gun ownership.

The way I look at it, owning a gun is just another tool that you can use to be self-reliant. Don't own a gun to fight the government, own one so you don't need the government.

Take away gun ownership rights in exchange for the reintroduction of slavery. Take away our right to freely travel in exchange for a tax-exempt workforce and a moratorium on gay marriage. ONE man can destroy this economy. If you go to war with them, you don't sit there like the fool you obviously are, waiting for them to come to you. You use the "tylenol" tool, poisoning the food supply and scaring everyone, so that all the food rots. You use a stolen plane to burn CA off the map in one night. You put derailers in the middle of RR bridges, you set fire to oilfields and shipping areas, you use trained dogs to dive under the gas tanks of black limos, while wearing PETN (det cord power, made into plastic explosive) as collars, etc, etc.

CA (illegally) used the Driver's license rolls, and the 4473 forms you fill out when you buy a gun, to determine who in the state was committing a felony by having an unregisterd miltary style autorifle. The number was well over the number of beds in the states prisons, even after a couple of years of "amnesties" were offered. So Big Bro gave up on the idea of enforcing that law "en mass". Those guys didn't risk that beef in order to have something to plink targets with! They did it because they intend to use those guns to FIGHT with and the chicken**** cops don't want any PART of any real fight.
