"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Do I really have to forget about all the girls that I know since becoming a DJ?

Some of them (one in particualr that I am very interested in), kind of come in the border between me being a ***** and me beginning to grow in confidence.

I think I will see once and for all if there is a chance with this girl regardless. I will then either enter a relationship with her or forget about her.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Good luck! and NO you don't have to forget girls you already know. If you are any sort of DJ you'll be able to turn things around even with girls you've messed up with in the past. Some may not agree with me, but I promise you I do it everyday

A lot of people on here seem to be saying to forget about old girls, but as a DJ, I believe I can turn it around. Heck, I believe I can even bust a girl out of the 'friend zone'.... maybe.

Ok, so my problem has had another development. The girl that I am working on at the moment, is currently trying to set me up with her firend. What are your thoughts on this? Do i still have a chance? and what should i do about it?

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

If this chick is trying to set you up with her mate I doubt she is interested. It just doesn't seem logical. But then again when have women ever followed normal logic?

I would reduce the ammount of time you spend with her to become distant. Then game her like a girl you've just met and hope for the best. If your DJ skills are up to it it'll work. It's how I got myself into my current relationship.

You don't even have to distance yourself that much. Just hang out with different people for a week or 2 while occasionally talking to her on msn or w/e messenger you use and you're in the clear as long as your DJ skills are up to par.

To be honest you don't even have to distance yourself at all if your DJ skills are good enough. Distancing yourself is simply an unecissary prepperation that could make it easyer.

Yeah but if you're slowly adapting to the DJ lifestyle then you're better off distancing yourself so they see the big change in you instead of them watching you change and barely notice it. If you change all at once in one day they'll think something is wrong with you. It's like the difference between you living with your parents for a year and then you meeting up with a friend you haven't seen in a year. To your parents you look the same as always but to your friend you're totally different. You might be taller, have longer hair, be more tanned, more mature, w/e. Distancing yourself is the best way to go I think.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

OK I think you guys are spot on with your advice. However, becasue of my slowness in acting on this girl, she has now got a boyfriend. Do I still pursue her/ show interest and go on as if the boyfriend doesn't exist?

Unless you really think you can still get her with a boyfriend then I would next her. There isn't really much point going into a love triangle.
