I don't follow what celebrities do...I was watching CNN...the news. I didn't even know she was in trouble until I heard about this on CNN. When I heard that she got her license taken for a DUI and then got caught driving twice after that and ignored the probation requirements then yeah...I think it's comical that she's going to jail for 45 days. If it were you you'd go to jail for close to a year.

Paris is getting off easy for DUI, probation violation, and court contempt. 45 days in jail (not prison), is not that bad, especially if you don't care if fellon label bothering you for life (as in getting a job).

Actually...he only gave her half of the time he could have given her...90 days.

She should have left her mother at home...Mrs. Hilton was heckling the prosecutor and judge according to some reports. She got jail time because she has spent the last few months acting like the laws don't apply to her...and she hasn't done even one thing she was required to do as part of her probation.

I think they should make a "Simple Life" mini-series out of her time in jail. I would love to be a fly on the wall to see how well she copes in jail.

Oh...the facility she's going to has a substance abuse program...which is probably why he gave her jail time...so she has to do the program she didn't do that was part of her probation agreement.

Yeah, such as laughing and saying "Can I get your autograph?" (Also, 45 days is apparently the maximum sentence. The judge said that if she didn't show up to jail, he'd double the sentence to 90 days.)

I don't want to hijack the conversation but one month ago I was arrested on DUI. First time in handcuffs. My case is legally indefensible (no aggravating factors except I blew twice the legal limit) and I'm pleading guilty. The whole experience has been and will continue to be very humbling. I'm getting sentenced rather soon and am hoping to avert jail.
