I crossed a red light and cops told me everything is cool. The next day I get a $385 bill on the mail. You tell me if that isn't too much. I've gotten more than 10 tickets already and the highest I ever paid for was 150 and most of them were from speeding. Not stopping on a light, going 10 miles per hour gets me 385 dollars? Can anyone relate with your brother here?!?!?!

When i was younger (16-20) I got a TON of tickets. In my lifetime i have probably had in the neighborhood of 20 traffic tickets; which was a combination of being stupid and bad luck. You can definitely be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Everyone speeds, but not everyone gets caught. In the past 5 years i have only gotten a couple. Normal b.s. stuff.

I will say that I have become a MUCH better driver as ive gotten older; and definitely always have that "cop-awareness" radar on when im driving. I rarely exceed 10 over the limit, and i dont try dumba$$ moves to make shortcuts or get somewhere faster.

So get off the guy's nuts. Maybe he's young, unlucky, or both. Cops are least lenient with young males.

Also, if it's one of those 'speed-camera' tickets, you dont have to pay those. Since there is no issuing officer it's considered an insufficient summons.

I was exaggerating and the number of tickets I have isn't the point of the thread. $385 just for crossing a red light and not even doing it just because I'm really that stupid, more like I was in a hurry for school and I was turning to the RIGHT and didn't bother to slow down when I made the turn. (Sure no excuses) I wouldn't be surprise if there are people on this board who either is a cop, has a relative that's a cop or who just loves a cop. I'm not hating, I just think he was a p*ssy for acting like everything was fine and later get a bill that high.

Plus he asked me for my registration and I gave it to him. He told me it wasn't the registration I gave him but the insurance. I kept looking for the registration for 15 minute straight. He came back with his little paper work handing me the REGISTRATION of the car telling me "My Bad", it was the registration and not the insurance I gave him. tsk tsk tsk. Come on now. I hate to say it, but I'm clearly seeing little by little that cops are just dudes who are..ugh nvm!~

I sure can. I used to be a dumb ass just like you. You need to learn and by learn I mean grow up and advance yourself. Car and driving on the street is not fun, nor racing, nor anything you think it is, it is simple going from point A to point B, obeying all traffic laws, including speed limit and stopping for traffic lights.

If you want to become a better man you need to learn to drive. Every wussy and woman can push pedal, blow through lights, and brake speed limit. It takes a MAN to obey all traffic laws, drive safely, and take shiit for it from all other drivers who dont' get it.

Cops did a good job on you. You're ok with us buddy, ahh. But state send you a ticket from red light cam. GOOD. It's so you learn a lesson. But you really need to be bitted with a bat to understand this concept. Rent a bicycle and try riding it around your neighborhood, observing how moronic drivers like you look.

Here's my question, how the **** do you still have a license? Whether you deserved them or not I'm not going to go into, but doesn't your state have any sort of consequences for traffic violations aside from paying the ticket? Around here we get demerit points and you'd be taking the bus well before your 10th ticket.

Let's see.... Speeding a little is hardly dangerous, IMO.

Running a stop light is one of the worst possible things imaginable... Its one of the most likely ways to end up hitting someone, cuz when they have a green light they aren't looking both ways to make sure your sorry, pi$$-poor drivin' ass is coming through.

Running a red light should almost be categorized under attempted manslaughter.

I wasn't going straight full speed, that's dangerous. The cop STOPPED me because I didn't make a full stop at the light before I made my turn. Who wouldn't be upset.

$385 for what I did? Imagine someone who makes $8 an hour who pays for an apartment, food, insurance and everything who has a family he needs to feed. That $385 can ruin everything.

I'm not complaining about what I did. I just think that's a lot of money. And I don't hate cops in general. Just that P*ssy cop that pulled me over, because some cops will let you get away.
