We all know Allen doesn't have time to roam around and read every single thread. Thus, Allen doesn't know just what the demand for a FR Forum is.

The Plan:

The plan is to PM SoSuave.com on Friday, March 31, 2006.

Title the PM message as: FR Forum



With enough demand, Allen will supply. Thus, we will ultimately get a FR Forum! :cheer: :rock:

dude, don't you think the other mods have seen the demands for an FR forum though?

My suggestion is to go somewhere else, like other websites where FRs are in a forum, and participate more there.

Honestly, SS has become too big for its britches. I think that if DOCS succeeds with his site, it will blow this site out of the water. No threat intended to SS, but Docs site has a much broader vision.

Time zones don't matter. It's all concentrated mostly within 24 hours, and that is fine.


You don't have to proceed to the other moderators because:

1. Mods already KNOW that we want a FR Forum. They just can't do anything about it. ONLY SoSuave.com can create on.

2. If his inbox is full, SoSuave.com will still receive an e-mail saying that he just received another PM message, but he cannnot receive it because the inbox is full.

Since the forum has been brought back on-line I have seen maybe a dozen posts about how we NEED a field report forum.

I have also seen maybe a dozen actual FR's in the main board sink off the first page only to be replaced by mindless dribble. Mindless dribble such as we NEED a field report forum. Not one of the pushers of the FR forum has bothered to respond to an actual field report. Isn't that what you want?

Instead of a field report forum why not a sub-division system in the wingman forum. Kind of like lairs where you can meet with your local folk and sarge with actual people. You can then come back and discuss your field reports with people who can give you REAL advice based on them knowing your style. This also defeats the know-it-all, inexperienced, little kids from giving advice since you can put a face to a post or response.

And also there are entire sites which are largely devoted to the dissection of field experiences. If that is what you want then dont bother with ss.net cause you will end up being disappointed.

Indeed, it's not meant as a takeover. But if I create the resources and user functionality, there's no telling how big it'll become. We can only see.

Although I agree that FRs are fantastic to learn from, many people don't bother reading or responding to them. Do a search on FRs and see how many responses they get. A FR forum will ensure that they get ignored even more.

This site had a FR forum years ago, and it was done away with.
