I have a super playful and funny personality but my experience on OLD is trying to be funny and flirty over instant msg or text doesn't work well initially because you just come across as needy and creepy. My success rate is much higher if I carry myself as a self-respecting adult than a horny juvenile. Now if I looked like Channing Tatum I could say anything and still get away with that.
