Online dating question - girl is shy but interested

Exchanged a few emails with a girl online, asked her for her number and asked her out. She told me she wants to get to know me better, but is "super shy" and would like to talk a little more via email first before hanging out in real life. I played it real cool, saying don't worry, let me know when you feel more comfortable.

After just one more email exchange, she gave me her number and said to text her. I texted her playfully so she has my number. Limited the exchange to 4 texts total.

When is an appropriate time for me to bring up getting together again? I respect that she's shy, and I respect online dating is scary for some women. Should I write her a few more emails and then ask her again? Or is now a good time, now that she apparently trusts me enough with her number?

Thanks for the help :)

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Well, you have her phone #. You exchanged texts. What's stopping her from calling her for plans, lets say this weekend? You doing anything fun to invite her along with?

You have more paitence than me. I was talking to a girl online who played that card. I went along with it for a little bit. Made the "mistake" to ask her again a couple e-mails later, she declined again so I just sent her a message about how she is guarding it like Fort Knox. I didn't really care at that point, not in the mood to be a pen pal and play games.

I just call her and set up plans, you do have her phone # you know. Why go back to e-mailing her?

Good idea. I'll just call her. I have patience for this one because she's hot, lol. You're right, I should not go back to emailing. That's a horrible idea. I'll give her a call tomorrow night. Thanks
