I know because I was one of them. The overthinking. The paralysis. The silent drive home kicking yourself for freezing up. Watching average guys walk away with the girl while you stood there stuck in your own head.

I just started doing them and I'm not 100% sure if I'm doing them right since I've never really gotten any instructions on the correct form. I've been doing them like a regular pushup except that I position my opposite leg horizontally and I grip my hamstring with my free hand.

Also, doing one handed pushups puts a lot f strain on my shoulder. What excersizes (preferably not requiring weights) can I do to strenghten my shoulder and thus prevent injury?

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

A good exercise for strengthening your shoulders without weights is to do a hand stand against a wall and do push ups like that...it's like doing military press with your own body weight. Try and go all the way down so the top of your head touches the ground. Be careful you don't slam your head into the groud though...I've seen lots of people do that...
