Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

I can tell that this girl is head over heels over me. She is constantly flirting and sending all the signals imagineable. Its been going on for some time now. The only problem is that shes had a bf this whole time. About two weeks ago, she did break up with her bf, but now they are working it out or something. It is a really wierd situation, and idk how to handle it. I dont want to really put myself in a love triangle, but as each day passes, i feel myself falling for this girl more and more. I cant help it, its natural. The other problem is that im a senior and shes a junior and i will be graduation in june and going to college in august, so i dont have all the time in the world. What should i do?

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

i'll make this one quick.

you can tell she's head over heels for you...

she had a b/f...

but she was messing around with you...

she broke up with her boyfriend...

now shes keeping him on a string until you make a move, or you take too long...

now so she can either cut the string connected to her old boyfriend (if you make a move), or reel him back in (if you take too long).

how do i go about making a move if she is trying to "fix things up with her bf" and when asked by other ppl, she is still in a relationship with him. It is a very tricky thing, and i dont want to be known by the guy that goes after girls with bfs already. I think im going to be at a party with her tomorrow night and she never ever comes with her bf and even when she does, she is all over me a lot of the time. We never kissed or anything like that, just to make it clear, but we flirt all the time.

well if you both end up at the party sitting next to each other and she's all over you... and you want to make your move... be straight with her and ask "did you get back together with your boyfriend?"

if she says "no," make your move...

if she says "yes," tell her "that's too bad, maybe next time ;)"

who knows... if you can tease her and build her attraction THAT night, she might even call her "boyfriend" up THAT night and break it off completely. even then, keep teasing her.

teasing as in how girls tease guys with suggestive things they say or with half naked pictures of themselves... don't tease her with "oh i got your nose!!!" <== (well maybe corniness can build attraction too)

well i guess... just flirt... i couldn't think of the word then.

yeah, i totally get what youre saying. Thanks a lot. You always seem to give the best advice around here, and i appreciate the time. Ill let every1 know how it goes in the near future and ill keep coming back with more questions.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

turns out there was no party today and i did see her with her bf earlier in the day. When i see them they are together and sh!t, but i never see them kissing or doing anything affectionate which leads me to believe there is nothing there. I am kind of thinking that she is in teh middle right now and doesnt know what she really wants, and I'm not sure that if i make a move now that things will turn out so well. Am i right?

change her mind... make her want you

get her interested first... make her want you second... then make your move.

i won't need to explain like my million other replies... if you know the basis of this site... you should know how...

when would a perfect time be?

keep asking yourself that.

seriously... i'll wait... go ahead

by the time you figure it out... it's too late (unless you just go for it, maybe not).

it's better to go for something, win OR lose... than not going for something then automatically losing.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

well tonight this girl texts me out of the blue...i was pleasantly surprised. She was just bullsh*tting with me and then i asked her to go out to lunch tomorrow. SHe told me that she couldnt b/c it was her friends bday and she was going out to lunch with her. Then she asked me what i was doing tonight. I wasnt doing anything and i knew she wasnt so i told her that i was going to pick her up. She then tells me that shes out with her friend, which im not sure is true or not. I then stop talking to her. About an hour or so later, she texts me again. SHe then casually mentions that she is over her bf house, but its nothing special. I am still confused with this girl. We havent gotten closer and everyday she practically rapes me in the hallway, but nothing has materialized. I sort of have a feeling that her friend was c0ckblocking me tonight or she was putting me through some tests. Idk, it was kinda wierd. Is she interested or just playing games with me? Whats your opinion on the situation?

Just say **** it, its just drama being built up, shes an attention ***** and she likes the attention you give her. Start ignoring her and see what she does. She might end up just wanting you even more. Just go by these two little words and you can solve pretty much any odd high school situation "**** Drama" When it starts up just deuce on out of there.

Yeah, but there was no drama here. I am wondering if persistence will pay off in this situation. Show her that i dont let obstacles get in my way.

shes just a flirty attention *****, ignore her and yes their could be drama with this bf of hers.

The whole obstacles thing can go both ways, she can say you never give up and that shows persistance or that its creepy.

could it just be that she was with her friend and they were just testing me to see how i would react

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

well she was less flirty today, but she still tried to talk to me, and i did ignore her. I was wondering if i should just be straight up with her and tell her that i think that she jerked me off the other night giving me BS lines. What do you think?

how bout u think for urself and stop being a puppet to her actions?

next time she flirts, ask her out. if she says anything but a resounding YES. she is not interested.

then this is the part where you talk to the other girls who live on this planet
