sounds cool I need something better than my current roofie technique to snag the ladies, I think the barmen are getting suspicious when I drag the girls to the cab by theior feet.

Yeah just get whatever is on your mind off of it. If you wake up at night and you can't fall asleep wake up again, burn off your energy, take a shower, or adopt a new sleep pattern.

I routinely switch between galileo/the light bulb dudes sleep pattern and current 9-5 sleep pattern.

Still amounts to 8 hours, but I can remember my dreams and I can't over sleep the other way.

Search for ulterior motives, or circadian rhythms, some of your questions will be answered if you know whwere to look.

eh, If its a recent brief thing, you have nothing to worry about it.

If it continues, it can be a symptom of lots of things. See a doctor, they will probably either give you pretty much the advice you see here, or give you pills.

I have been an insomniac for years and I refuse to take pills.

Just means you learn to live on less sleep. Some people just don't require as much.
