Scroll down about 1/2 way and you'll see this boy/girl thing that was the shooter. If the press had said it was a girl I would have believed them.

I know pseudo-intellectuals out there will say this has nothing to do with the shooting... as though our wills are not boxed in by our biology.

Anyone wanna bet on how this boy/girl thing was made fun of and 'snapped' because of it. Too bad someone didn't take the time to help it find a life proper to a human being.

I'd hate to be a "pseudo-intellectual" but I have to disagree with you. All you gotta do is read his background. This is not about his haircut, dude was severely troubled.

The group homes and treatment centers were for youths with substance abuse, mental or behavioral problems. Altogether, the state spent about $265,000 on Hawkins, officials said.

Maybe the $265,000 was spent on making him not look like a boy/girl because that is obviously all society cares about right?

You know something, looking at his pictures, he looks alot like the younger version of the lead singer of "the white Stripes" or the lead singer of "Korn". Those guys went after their passions and succeeded so the excuse of "me looking a certain way or people treating me a certain way and I won't achieve anything " is a victimhood mentality. Are you suggesting the only thing society cares about is looks? Well, yes a heavy importance is places on looks; which is why this is a woman's world.

Aside from that, we are flesh and that means our ******d looks are an indication of what is going on inside our bodies. The 'looks' we choose to have are an indication of what's going on inside our heads. This boy/girl decided he wanted to look like a M. Jackson clone.

Evolution gave us our thumbs and evolution gave us our brains. As much as a blow to most people's egos as it will be, our wills are boxed in by our biology. Choice is possible, but only the choices our biology allows us to have.

The brutal truth of our biology will piss off the conservative because it means god didn't make us, and it will piss off the liberal because it means there will be no new socialist man and no utopia however hard they make their plans.

our society is sick - whether we're talking the media, the family, politics, etc..

as a result we are producing more and more sick individuals. suicides, people amassing absurd debt, divorce rates, crime, etc. all of it continues to increase and reflects a society filled with individuals that are losing their minds.

if you look at society as a living organism these things are symptoms. and we've seen enough symptoms that we should be getting worried about the state of things in general.
