"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

I've been dating this hs senior and I'm a few years older.
The problem with her is often she's very quiet when with me or over the phone (which is why i only call to set up dates). Usually she doesnt call me so if anything i have to call and she'll usually return the call.

Although my sister is a few years younger, when they met they (or her) had a lot to talk about...Im assuming it was about school and stuff, i dont know i wasnt around.

I know for a fact she only have a few or couple of friends and usually doesnt get out much. and it seems that she doesnt mind where I take her as long as she's with me. But she's holding back and remains a mystery and doesnt tell me much or anything happening in her life(even if i ask)...Im guess she's thinking Ill think less of her if i learn more about her/ that she'll scare me off.
And the strange thing is she barely knows much about me as she doesnt ask.

I remember talking/conversing with hs girls while i was in hs was pretty easy, barely had to make an effort..we'd call each other etc. But this girl is a tough nut to crack and dont understand her...what do you guys think? are HS girls usually this passive/uninspired?

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

She's a Shy Girl. Not about girl to girl, but between YOU and her, she's shy as shy can be. She doesn't want to get hurt, so she's holding back. :) On that note, she's probably head over heels for you.

Interesting thought I just broke up with a girl like this even though a friend of mine pretty much said the same thing you said. It can get to be too annoying and a pain in the azz dealing with this

I dated a shy girl (actually..we're on and off, long distance now, it's on ATM). She won't say that she likes me, I have to force it out of her.

Kinda blows, but meh.

Thanks for the feedback

Mpimpin...yea it can be a pain in the azz, a guy only has so much patience..humans are meant to be social creatures. Most of the time you never know what these shy girls are thinking. But at least there are some qualities you could find in these types you wont find in others.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Thats solid right there. Yeah Docs pretty much hit it on the head. I was in a very similar situation and yeah it can get frustrating. Any other way to get it out of her or dealing with this? How about if shes way shy or really quiet when shes around you. LOL

Take her hand and lead. She'll follow.

Very true but remember not to rush things. The only way a relationship like this is gonna work out is if your willing to put in most of the effort but hopefully eventually she'll come around.

The relationship I just attempted this with was a bloody crawl out of the friendzone to find myself in this situation. I accomplished all goals but way to much time and energy wasted.

Keep in mind the Easy way is not always the wrong choice.

Alright, *Cracks fingers* If she is the really shy girl, and afraid of losing you, and or you losing interest and what not if she tells you more about herself. How you can break this nut open can be complicated. But you just need to smack a few words around and open her up.

Some things I have used to open her up a little bit, but be sincere.
"(insert name here), I really care about you, and I won't leave you, but I would like you to talk to me more, you shouldn't be scared I am not here to judge you, but I am here to listen." Use something like that, Mod it up a little bit What ever it takes to get her talking. If you think it will work... Do it.

Anyways I have to run out for a bit.

Peace

it's funny most of the conventional wisdom in the DJ bible doesnt apply with these types of girls.

Seems that being a mystery often works against you and with these girls you should give them some type of security that you care in some form or another. If you ask me they seem more the immediate LTR-minded types.
Well ill try to set something up this weekend and see what happens.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
