Okay I have to rant (re: spartacus)

okay, I'm a big history guy, so when I found out starz was doing a new series on spartacus.

So, we watch the first two episodes. Look very promising. lots and lots of sex. lots of it.

so we get to the third episode of the damn show, and i have to basically waste an hour of my life to watch Spartacus get his ass whipped and surrender.

Okay starz... this is why you are starz and not hbo.

No one watches the sopranos to see Tony go to the joint.

No one watches law and order to see the killer get off.

this is what starz basically did.

I did not tune in to the damn show to watch Spartacus get his ass handed to him and surrender.

to make matters worse, there they could not have picked a better guy to write a series about... as no one is so famous yet so little is actually known about him. they could have made up anything they wanted and this is what they come up with.

And they just made my TV watching experience simpler becuase that is one show i will not bother to watch.

Excellent rant. I fully agree I watched it last night when I had so much else to be doing and was pissed when it ended like that. But it teaches him a lesson and left me wondering what is gonna happen. Although there isn't to much wondering if you know the history of Spartacus watching the show is more like waiting for stuff to happen.

The original Spartacus was targeted for gay's before it was socially acceptable. Why would a remake be any different? You guys are MEN complaining about a gay movie. You might as well talk about Brokeback Mountain.
