"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

SO there is thos girl at school. Ive had the hots for her for a few weeks but only really said more than hey to her on Wednesday. She sat next to me on the bus and we got talking,it turns out we like the same music and she is a lot less stuck up than people think. She was talking bout how her bf never paid her any attention so she dumped him. She sat next to me on Thursday again and we were talking more except this time she was starting to touch my hand and my back. Whenever I talk to her now she smiles and laughs more than she seems to when talking to other people. This might be because I am ao much more laid back than her friends are and she might just want somoene more relaxed to talk to or whether she actually likes me.
PLease reply to this when you read it

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Nah, it's not too tricky. She's obviously into you. If she brought up a conversation about how she dumped her bf, that should be an obvious sign.

That is what I thought but it wasn't exactly like that. We were talking for about a minute and someone made a joke we should go out. She repiled by saying she only dumped her bf that day then she went into telling me about the fact he paid no attention and wanted to know what I would do if I was off out with someone.

Yea dude, she definitely sounds interested. Just play it out awhile more and try to grab some brownie points, you'll be fine

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Well, you said you two seem to like the same bands, so I'm guessing you like the same kind of music overall. Why not try a small concert. I don't mean at a stadium with a big band (and pricetag). Just a little ragtag band but with the same kind of music. Or, try to find out some other things in common, just try not to be in her face though. Major turn down for women. Just try some small steps at first, and if she sits with you again, try applying a little kino. Not too much though, after all, it is a school bus.

She actually initiated Kino already lol
Also when I said same music I meant classic rock music which is pretty hard to find round here its mostly punk or indie. We do both have a common interenst in history she plays the flute[I play guitar] errm we have both lived in this area about the same length of time. sorry I just get nervous with girls and I'm trying to get all I can so I dont screw up with this one

Hey it's cool. Classic rock, I see where that might be a problem. But, you both play an instrument so there is still a good connection. Are you in any classes together? If so then try asking for help with something or lending help, and while you're at it, add the bonus that you'll display some of your guitar skills. As for the kino, if she initiated it then you have a nice catch, but you should apply some yourself to make sure she knows you have some interest.

I reckon she's interested, but remember she's also on the rebound and probably looking for attention from you if she dumped her bf because she lacked it from him.

I would say use this to your advantage by giving her that attention and then suddenly stripping it away from her as quickly as it came. Some may think this is risky, and I agree, but if it works she'll be falling head over heals for you in no time:up:. After all the bigger the risk, the bigger the reward.

And if it does fail theres always more fish in the sea.

Agreed, you need to make a point that, while you might be interested, she's not the only possibility in your life

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

I see. Well use that as a conversation. Maybe plan a jam session (a flute and a guitar thats a bit new). But again, make sure she's not the only one in your life. Play the field.

Nice, see, you two could definitely jam. Haha, throw some "Free Bird" in there and you've just spent 9 minutes of your time together

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Lol you could try creating a duo in the style of the 'free bird' solo and then get a gig, that'll be fun for sure.

Me and a mate did a guitar/trumpet duo in the style of Van halen/Lynyrd Skynyrd. Had great fun creating, trying to get it to work and performing it lol, I'm sure it'll be even more fun when your doin it with a gal.

Plus, you get that famous side note, BROWNIE POINTS

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
