"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Me and a freind went into an Oreck store last PM. The one salesman in front (he looked pretty AFC'ish) was talking to this HOT blonde who was in her mid 30's. So we are standing there and anonther salesman comes out from back to wait on us. We get the whole vacuum cleaner speial, (even though alls I needed was a belt!) and both my friend and I noticed this blonde was checking us out from the corner of her eyes.

So here was a macking situation but a difficult one. The store was empty, so no backgound noise...the blonde was dealing with this other salesman, we were stuck with this other duffus. To break into THIER conversation would have looked awkwords, and rude.

Since she left first, we could have followed her out to her car, but theres the stalker thing. So our paths crossed, she liked at least one of us and the feeling was mutual, but there wasn't a word said between us....sucks! Any suggestions on what we SHOULD have done!!??

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

You should have excused yourself from your conversation and walked up to her and ask "I'm out my league with these things, what made you decide to buy one of these things." There's your opening.

From her answers you can find out about the type of housekeeping she does (small apartment/probably single or big house/maybe married). Use other open end questions and a bit of c/f to keep her amused and then close in whatever manner works best for you.

Bill, dude, you're usually a great poster and I think a mature man. But come on dude. This is pick up 101. Certainly not Mature man fodder....

First of all you and a male friend are buying a vaccum cleaner. Two middle aged guys buying that stuff would make a chick think you guys are gay. But gay or not, there was no reason not to make a move.

Francisco gave good advice. And I would say that saying anything is better than standing there with your male friend discussing the suction powers of the amazing Oreck.

PS: Moved to discussion.
