"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Hey I'm going off to college pretty soon so I'm looking for some advice on college life in general. Let me first tell you my situation.

I'm majoring in Computer Engineering, the university I'm attending has a female/male ratio of 40/60, because our school is known for math and engineering. I'm also enrolled in a co-op program, basically I have 8 academic terms and 6 work terms each term is 4 months. That means first year I stay on campus for the first term, then work for the second term, and I stay on campus during the summer to finish my academic term. This is kinda a challenge since it would be hard to know that many ppl if I stay on campus for 4 months as opposed to 8. My residence building is co-ed, but each floor is single gendered, so you have a floor all guys and the floor above that would be all girls. That's pretty much all I can tell you at the moment. I'm not that optimistic cuz I'm discouraged by the ratio, the single-sex floors and my schedule which all gets in the way of djing. Opinions and suggestions?

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Don't worry too much about that. I'm sure there are other schools nearby and most guys at a math/engineering school probably don't go out so that would even things out when you go party.

You can be on a girl's floor to visit them, right? If so, a female friend in the building would help. Being "friends" with women is usually a bad idea, but in this case you would get something out of it, an excuse to hang out on the girl's floor, and there the ratio will certainly be in your favor. Find a girl who has a class with you, and you have a common interest right away.
