Where is AC when we need a dark post? Anyways. I'll take this one I guess...
Of Regrets and Oppurtunity
My question is...what is failure? Is failure just a short term feeling one has when something bad happens? Or do you actually benefit later? You've heard the age old saying about how you learn from failure...but do you? My whole life I've failed, failed, got second best dozens of time but only succeeded rarely. Don't take my words in this post as advice because it's just me putting in what I believe. Beliefs arn't always right.
I regret a lot one time I ended a friendship with the captain of the football team right before high school. He actually called me when we were friends and asked me how to makeout with a girl because he was gonna meet one of the hottest girls in our grade that night. My response "....I don't know man." He says "dude I thought you knew how to!!" Yea. I thought he was a jackass and seriously said "Fvck you don't talk to me," to him like the next month. Huge regret. Missed dozens of oppurtunities with girls and all this ****. I stared at a girl after a whipped cream fight by ourselves at night and didn't make a move. I said "so..." like five times. Just one of my failures. But will this failure ever teach me something about life/girls? Well I've turned into kind of one of those guys girls talk to but don't think of hooking up with. I'm a constantly a sarcastic jerk but been known to be nice on occassion. This year the only girls I've been gaming are hb 6-7's... I think failure will one day help us DJ's not the short term but eventually one day. Don't let failure get you down and just stay confident in yourself.
From this new year so far, hell I'm happy, but am I succeeding? No, not really. Not in what the "Don Juan Community" would consider. I just really hope that my time spent in getting better at music will one day pay off. I really do hope that a lot of the kids in my school grow up to be losers because they waste all their time. Does this make me a bad person? Maybe, but I don't care.
What am I b1tching about? Well, I'm b1tching about I guess that don't spend all of high school trying to get the hottest girl to suck you. It's really, really, not a worry compared to the whole rest of life ahead of you. In the grand scheme of things (yes hard to think about), it doesn't matter if you dated the hottest girl in your school. Recently I stopped smoking ( I was never really THAT into it), because I realized that's not smart to be doing that **** every weekend or so. Because the reason a lot of the kids from high school will become the janitor after they graduate is because all they did was waste time in high school smoking pot and failing.
You see success stories of all these people like Bill Gates, musicians, CEO's of companies and they weren't the captain of the football team. (Btw I played football for two years and it does NOT make you get girls.) And these successful people were investeing time instead of spending it at an early age. AND IT PAYS OFF. YES. THEY ARE SUCCESSFUL. My new thing is investing time because I'd rather be what I am now (medium social rank like friends with a lot of pop kids) than be a loser the rest of my life. Please don't think that high school lasts forever because it doesn't. Take oppurtunity to invest time and just think of the outcome.
