"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

So here I was chatting up to two hotties. Some guy who I saw waiting for an opportunity to speak handed one woman his business card and said, I kid you not, "Call me if you ever want to have lunch or dinner sometime."

Her response? "I have a boyfriend ..."

He cut her off, "Okay, let me take that back." He practically tore the card from her hands and hurriedly walked away, looking over his shoulders. He probably thought I was her boyfriend. We spent the next fifteen minutes laughing about the lame creepiness of his approach. It was creepy to the girls because they were engrossed in conversation. They didn't even notice him. The funny thing is that she does have a tough, overpossessive ex-convict for a boyfriend. Good thing he took his card back.

Anyway, the insight anyone could glean from this observation is simply this: the little things matter. If you can't small talk, don't walk up to women and hand them your business card without even introducing yourself. Learn to talk small. Learn about the girl before you make a move. Only foolish, desperate people make ridiculously poor approaches as this guy did.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

If you got good looks and some tact you can pull anything off, but this is not the ideal approach.

I've tried pure business card approaches this year and they have worked on a few people in terms of getting their number, or directly asking for their number after getting their names.

The successful occurances as follows:

1) Earlier this year, I went up to a girl, introduced myself, let her introduce herself, closed for her number immediately.

2) Future Shop, Got number of a hb there, business card helped substantiate that I was a 'somebody' and was helpful for rapport to get her number. She never kept the card or needed it.

3) Walmart - went up to employees, asked how they were doing, handed out cards, one person was particularly receptive and could have number closed wtih her if I really pursued it.

Point is, if you do something persistently enough, and have the numbers then anything is possible. If you are not good at small talk, and want to make a quick number close, then sometimes the business cards is the most efficient way of breaking the ice.

Ha. I have a few women who treat me like their surrogate boyfriend because of all the creeps at singles meets. Most I'm not interested in, so I let them pretend (hey, I also think I look pretty popular with all the women looking like their hitting on me. Lol), IF they're cute. If they're not, I'll still defend them, but I handle it differently.

I swoop in from time to time, distract the creeps, (it makes me laugh when they end up confused because they're suddenly not hitting on the hottie.), and let my female friends make a quick getaway.

One time, I pulled the old "I'm the boyfriend" (Hi honey! Sorry I'm late! Who's this?) routine, and it's funny to see the creeps suddenly change, and get really nervous, and all I have to do is be kind; of course, there's usually some sort of small "back off!" behind my kind exterior, so I suppose they sense that and get nervous.

I think I've also gotten some secret points from a few ladies for doing that.
