So here I was chatting up to two hotties. Some guy who I saw waiting for an opportunity to speak handed one woman his business card and said, I kid you not, "Call me if you ever want to have lunch or dinner sometime."
Her response? "I have a boyfriend ..."
He cut her off, "Okay, let me take that back." He practically tore the card from her hands and hurriedly walked away, looking over his shoulders. He probably thought I was her boyfriend. We spent the next fifteen minutes laughing about the lame creepiness of his approach. It was creepy to the girls because they were engrossed in conversation. They didn't even notice him. The funny thing is that she does have a tough, overpossessive ex-convict for a boyfriend. Good thing he took his card back.
Anyway, the insight anyone could glean from this observation is simply this: the little things matter. If you can't small talk, don't walk up to women and hand them your business card without even introducing yourself. Learn to talk small. Learn about the girl before you make a move. Only foolish, desperate people make ridiculously poor approaches as this guy did.
