"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

So last night I number closed on two girls that were giving me some pretty decent high interests. One more than the other.

One of the girls I met, (girl #1) was fully engaged in our conversation and gave me her number without hesitation. She was however with a date and dancing with him throughout the night. I was teasing her if that was her man to whom she said “no he’s just my date”.

The other chic (girl #2), was giving me higher interests and even teased on kissing me. When I texted her my name, she ended up texting me later that night to which we flirted a bit back and forth and then said goodnight to each other.

A lot of dating coaches say to text or reach out 3 or 4 days after number closing but what would be the best approach after creating some rapport at a party the night before ? Considering that emotions were high but also people are drunk

Also, I do have to mention that I was also at the party with a date (non-exclusive plate) to which she was dancing on me etc. (no kissing though)

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

The waiting 3-4 days thing uses to be the right answer but anymore a lot women know about it and may take notice if you do it that way. If I were single today I would probably wait until 7 or 8 PM the next evening after I met them. If they are really interested in you they will be thinking about you all day. So I think waiting until the next evening will be long enough. There’s probably no right answer to this anymore, other than don’t text her the same night you met her unless she text you first.

It was a halloween party, wasn't it. Next. You lost your chance. You should have struck that night. The alcohol and looseness of the party is gone. They'll glaze over your text at best.

I wouldn't recommend that after getting the number. I suggest 2 to 3 days after the first date but not after getting the number.

I would text 1 day after tops or even the next day. You want to continue the momentum of the in-person interaction. Girls are very "in the moment" types of beings. Letting more than 2 days pass might cause the momentum and excitement to go extinct. I would even suggest securing that 1st date with them almost right away. Then once secured don't text until the day before or the day of to confirm.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

This. Harley has a strong point. Again, women are in-the-moment creatures. And yes, if this was a Halloween party, their mindset is go-all-out-and-have-a-blast-tomorrow-I'll-be-back-to-normal-like-nothing-happened.

But don't feel bad if this is the case. This literally just happened to me, I was in Portland with some friends. There was this super cute Spanish girl that we were flirting back and forth but unfortunately, I had been going out with one of the girls there and ended up straightening things up with that girl outside the bar, in the meantime, the other girl noticed that and you snooze you lose.

I tried to hit that girl up later and nope. So yeah in these situations, strike the iron while it is hot.
