"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Not too sure what to do here...should I step it up?

Here is the situation:

In my business management class, there is this attractive girl that sits next too me. I chat with her on a regular basis like before class starts and after class ends when we are walking out etc. And of course, I don't to it ALL the time, I don't want to come off a needy. But just as an example, today when I arrived at school and was walking from my car to the school, I ran into her doing the same. She seemed all smiley and happy. But the thing is that I have JUST been chatting with her like I said and this has been going on since pretty much the beginning of the semester....So this leads me to a few questions:

First, do you guys think its a little too late to make a move? Like do you think I'm more in the friend zone now?

Second, If its not too late, I was thinking about asking her out to lunch after class to get to know her a little better nad kind of clue to her that I kind of like her...is this a good idea of bad idea?

My last question is kind of a stupid one...but whatever. Before the business class today, I saw her with some kid (both leaning against the wall talking...you know that pose)...and I have seen her with this kid walking to class before. And it is kind of giving me an idea that she is into him. (this is also what lead me to post this...because I am def going to step it up now) Now, I am not gay but honestly, I think he is def not attractive and kind of weird looking. I cannot see her with this kid. But when I was walking past them, she saw me and gave me a big long smile right in front of this kid. What does that mean... is that a friends kind of thing, a make this guy I'm with jealous kind of thing, and interested in you thing....etc? Hmm...thoughts?

I think I am trying to way over analyze this lol.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Get her number, and if you have it, use it.
I'm not the greatest, but I see that.

Prof already said it best.

You are thinking way too hard. Maybe it is too late, maybe it's not. Maybe she is into this other dude, maybe she's not. Maybe she's a lesbian, maybe she's not. Maybe she is a serial killer, maybe she's not. Only one thing to do....

GO FOR IT OR FORGET ABOUT IT!

Why is one woman so important that you would take this much effort in thinking about her when you should have more important things to do? That's the only question you should be worried about.

EDIT: Just think logically. Waiting may have decreased your chances with the girl, maybe. But if you don't try anything your chances are 0. What's do you have to lose?
