Right, I initially joined to ask Rollo for his advice but seeing as this community is well established I figured I'd just get as many opinions as possible.
A bit of background to my issue.
I only started to unplug about 3 weeks ago (was in a miserable 8 year relationship), anyway. Met a girl on Tinder, went out for dinner.
If I was to say this girl was stupid would be an understatement like saying "having aids kinda sucks". I'd be offending stupid people.
Now, about me.
I consider my social value (only discovered that term recently) to be extremely high. I'm 32, I have a 6 pack, well built, eat paleo, do crossfit, finishing a PHD this year, work as a lecturer, got a decent apartment, totally debt free and considering a bright future as an academic researcher.
My issue is my work. I spend my day trying to convince the next generation of mcdonald's employees that they may have a future if they shut up and listen, do the work and understand this crap. So I deal all day with people who are alot less interested in the subject matter than I am (I fail alot of them).
As such, I've come to dislike students. They are lazy, stupid, disinterested little buggers who exist to piss me off. So when I meet a girl who's dumb I'm immediately turned off. I would say my social conditioning thanks to work has made me jaded.
Anyway, as I get more and more familiar with game and coming to understand women more, the more I need to actually be able to talk to this women on issues that are of relative interest. If she cant deliver on that front then I really couldn't be bothered going any further. The "date" in question was interested in going back to her place, I wasn't.
Does anyone have any advice for me on this front? I really dont want to cultivate more empathy for my students to try get more understanding of issues surrounding stupidity. Do I need to simply date smarter women?
I'm not trying to make excuses and can take critism, so dont pull your punches.
cheers
