Not retaining protein??

I had a urine test today, and after finding no drugs/blood/infections etc, I was informed that I was passing alot of protein in my urine.

Does this mean I'm not retaining protein? Or is it that I have so much, this is just excess?

Mayo people are amazing. My sister went there and those people do things in days that would normally take weeks to figure out.

But Wiki is only good for SOME things. I made a statement about this back in my antioxidant discussion. I was told what I said about onions wasn't on Wikipedia. Well damn then, if what I said wasn't on Wikipedia, I DEFINITELY must be wrong.

This is why I hate when people ONLY use it as their main source of info. I mentiond if you use this in any paper you write in college at least where I went, and in the science/exercise field, you'd be laughed at if you cite Wikipedia :up:

While it may sound funny, notice one thing the OP never stated.

If this was some 100lb kid who read everything he read on her and followed it to a T, you bet your ass 300g is too much. Hey mom... Dude online told me I need 3g/lb of bodyweight. :kick:

I dont mean YOU stating that, i'm just saying he listed NOTHING about himself, or herself. lol

Could be either, depends on the amount of protein you're taking and the quality of it. If you're drinking too many shakes then that may not be absorbed well by the body.

Wtf?? Whats with the slightly agressive tone? Absolutly no need. I'm not some "100lb kid", and I was asking other experienced guys what their opinions were.

Thanks for the replies guys, I'm sure it's nothing, probably just my systems answer to the increased protien floating around. Best get in the gym and make my body use it ;)

The real question is: why didn't you ask this question to your GP?

Anyway, you're fine. Little protein in urine is not much of a concern when you are on a high-protein diet. The high-protein diet is yielding you results with the weights, isn't it?

That wasn't too agressive :D That's nothing. I did that post on the protein post about not converting to fat. Oh yeah, the creatine post too. Now that one put me over the edge :up:

And dont make the mistake that just cause you get back in the gym you will use it. Or maybe you are in the gym now. It wont all of the sudden disappear from your urine.
