Obviously the majority of men on this site eventually want that LTR with the right companion, but it's rarely discussed. Currently I am 7 months into a total of a 3 year relationship with one breakup. I understand this is normally a bad idea to get back with an ex, but as of yet things have been going very well. My question is what do you guys to help spice things up in the bedroom and always keep the relationship interesting on a non-sex basis? Personally, to help make things interesting I try to go to a new restaurant everytime we go out on a date, go do high adrenaline activities like rock climbing or water-skiing, and also do simple dates that may be nostalgic like going to a pumpkin patch, laser tag, ferry rides, really anything that may take her back to her childhood, get those feels going. Sexually we have introduced a couple toys, lingerie, and have sex in places that we could be dangerous, I.e. She blows me while I'm driving, have sex while I'm driving etc. sex while driving is a bit difficult, lower your seat, set it in cruise and let her do the driving while she's on top. Dangerous as fuark. What do you guys in LTR's do to help maintain a healthy and interesting relationship?

Many here say LTR's or marriage is beta so there won't be many threads. Sounds like you already are doing stuff to maintain a healthy and interesting relationship. She needs to have the same interest for your relationship or that stuff you do will not work. How often do you go out and do stuff for dates? What is she doing for you and what are you doing for yourself?
We go out roughly 3 - 5 times per month. Usually the dates are my ideas, very infrequently do I ask her where she wants to go but I do ask her once in a while, feel like I don't always have to be in control of dates. Honestly Pena she doesn't do as much for me as I would hope. I need to have her invest more, however, she is invested enough that I know she won't leave me. For myself, I own a contracting business so the money's on point but I don't do enough for myself looks wise. I think I have become complacent in that aspect with the length of our relationship growingPeña said:

I noticed that in your OP. She needs to be adding to the relationship more or she can leave if she isn't as invested. Start working on yourself for you and keeping yourself up. If you let yourself go you will feel less better about yourself and she will go. Being complacent makes a relationship bad. Does she ever cook for you or do things for you? We cook together, as I enjoy cooking. Hoping to go to chef school when I have enough cash set aside to quit my business. She does my laundry, goes to the store for me, brings me drinks, gives me massages, takes me places. Little things like that. She doesn't spend big money or anything like that on me as she is broke, just graduated college. She was honestly a pretty boring girl when we first got together. She liked to go to the lake and drink beer all the time. She has since developed interests in all the things I like to do. Now we go eat sushi, go to museums, kayak, etc. all of which she had never previously done. Almost like I have trained her to enjoy the things I like if that makes sense.Peña said:

Yeah. There are obvious risks to getting married, so I can't speak to that. But many will say it is beta if you want to be in a relationship. I call this "PUA shaming", where you will be shamed if you don't embrace the player lifestyle.Peña said:

Always strive for self-improvement. Never become complacent. Keeping yourself up keeps her on her toes and forces her to step up as well if she doesn't want to lose you.
Make sure you have your fair share of space and alone time as well, and NEVER let your relationship to fall into routine.
Your doing well on the dates but make sure she's investing as well, if she isn't, pull back a bit and allow her too. 3 years is a long time man, good job, and luck.
