"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

The girl I was dating had her house broken into about a month ago and had her computer stolen. I couldn't resist the urge to help out, so I built one for her to use until insurance could replace hers. No biggie, I had a bunch of spare parts kicking around that didn't cost me nothing.

Yesterday, I just breezed across POF. They show you who's online even without logging in. There's her picture right at the top of the list. Add to the fact that she hasn't had time for me in the last couple of weeks.

NO, you do NOT use my generosity to interact with other men on a dating site.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Maybe you should break into her house and take your computer back. Wait a minute...maybe that break in was an ex trying to reclaim that his laptop.

Des, man...come on. :p

First of all, if she's at all attractive, you should expect competition. I went on a first date with a cutie last night...date ended with the usual make-out/heavy petting, I had to go home and do some work but as soon as I got home I signed on to PoF...there she was. We all want to think that once a girl spends time with us she'll forget every other guy in the world...but it just doesn't work that way.

Second, don't build a computer for a girl...not if you want to bang her.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

She went on POF after your date because you didn't close the deal. Heavy petting? She wanted to get pounded. Heavy petting is for closers.

Unless you have some agreement about being exclusive then anything is up for grabs. What the hell were you guys doing on POF anyways! haha

Yeah, just say NO to bulding computers for your woman. No TV, no computers. Buy her some books and call it a day.

Inside her mind
I had a girl be on POF once on a date cause she was helping her sister out, women have no respect these days, my ex FB came over just to "hang out" and she is always on her "crackberry"

Des you honestly can't get mad if you ain't exclusive but I hope you got a lil something out the deal before you build her computer yes?

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Probably, but time was a factor. I'm not gonna get hung up on one girl, nor am I going to abdicate my professional responsibilities to get a piece of arse.

I don't go into first-dates expecting any more than 2nd-3rd base. Any more than that and the girl considers it a one-night stand, which means one f**k and done. I'm just getting back into this crap and I'm short on plates so I don't need ONSes right now, I need near-term f**k-buddies. Once you have 2 or 3 NTFBs, the ONSes find you. :D

It's a hard line to walk. You don't give them enough "play" and they lose interest. You give them too MUCH and they don't take you seriously.

Strange how that is...my mindset is completely the inverse of what it should be. Normally it's the WOMAN who is deciding how much "play" to give out. I think it's a place every guy should get to...even if you only have one or two girls, get to where YOU are the one who is deciding where the sex stops.

Put the sexual power back in the hands of the man. All you have to do is realize that f**king really DOESN'T matter as much as we're conditioned to believe. Sure, it's a blast...but society reinforces the idea that "men can't live without sex" because it makes us easier to predict/control/market to. That's garbage...and the "natural Don Juans" know this.

You ever have a friend who was great with women who turned down some easy ass? You ever get on his case about it? The response you get is something along the line of, "It's not a big deal, I've gotten plenty of ass".

Just something to think about.

First, this isn't like a one date thing. It's a 3 month thing. Second, we had the discussion about seeing other people. Third, she's telling me she just goes on there to talk to people. This isn't facebook, it's POF, the place you go meet people to fvck.

I have no problem with the competition nor her talking to other guys, but this is POF. I don't go on there unless I'm looking for women.

Damn, that's a burn Des. I guess next time withhold your generosity for a while. I think a lot of women will take services from a man without any sense of honor about it. I mean, if my friend came over and helped me fix my car, I would definitely be indebted to the guy. Even if I didnt hand the guy cash I would repay him one way or another. But men have a different sense about these things.

Did you verbally go off on her about it, or just go silent?

No, I brought it up. It all ended up very messy. Too bad, I kinda liked that chick. Oh well.

Regardless, I went and got another chick last night and had her over the same night. I generally NEVER do that, but getting another woman to get over a previous one really does help me move on. Spin those plates!

I guess next time withhold your generosity for a while.
Yeah, I knew that was the wrong thing to do. I'm still trying to adapt back into the single life. Best to keep the favors for when she's in a LTR with me. Until that happens, stingy and cheap is the way to go. No woman is worth the emotional nor financial investment until a LTR is developed.

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

Aww man this sucks.

If you gave her that computer just because you truly felt bad about the break in then you have NO right to be upset about how she's using it.

Are you sure you weren't trying to be a nice guy in order to increase your value? Sure you were. It may have worked for a moment but you know these things don't really work.

Confronting her about it was wrong. Her IL was lower than you thought. Seeing her on POF just confirmed it. A confrontation here does nothing but get messy.

I think the best thing to do here would have been to just next her in your mind. When a man nexts a woman, he just goes silent. He never speaks to her again. If she then comes around for a screw, you can take it and then never speak to her again for the win.

Yeah I don't blame you. Time would be a factor for me if I met some nasty skanK off POF. You met her on POF right?

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
