Researchers believe testosterone declined on day eight from the negative feedback suppression of Leutinizing hormone secretion. Leutinizing hormone is essential for testosterone production, and LH determines free testosterone levels. Suppression of LH would decrease serum testosterone levels, returning them to baseline. The study determined that the frequency of sexual activity and ejaculation impacted testosterone levels.

Abstract:The purpose of this study is to gain understanding of the relationship between ejaculation and serum testosterone level in men. The serum testosterone concentrations of 28 volunteers were investigated daily during abstinence periods after ejaculation for two phases. The authors found that the fluctuations of testosterone levels from the 2nd to 5th day of abstinence were minimal. On the 7th day of abstinence, however, a clear peak of serum testosterone appeared, reaching 145.7% of the baseline (P<0.01). No regular fluctuation was observed following continuous abstinence after the peak. Ejaculation is the precondition and beginning of the special periodic serum testosterone level variations, which would not occur without ejaculation. The results showed that ejaculation-caused variations were characterized by a peak on the 7th day of abstinence; and that the effective time of an ejaculation is 7 days minimum. These data are the first to document the phenomenon of the periodic change in serum testosterone level; the correlation between ejaculation and periodic change in the serum testosterone level, and the pattern and characteristics of the periodic change.

I'm already ahead of you by 4 months! 6 months at this point is easy!! This is the longest I have gone without "losing my load"!

Things I've noticed:
1). When I see a hot woman my body radiates a heat.
2). Sometimes my thinking is manic, but after a little physical exertion I find that my will is solid and focused.
3). I have gone for days at a time without thinking about sex b/c I have kept myself busy with so many other things.
4). I have had more "heroic" thoughts and my ideas have become more grandiose.
5). I still feel extreme sexual urges, but my improved performance in other areas of my life makes ejaculation look like a waste!
6). Mental alertness, surfacing issues such as anger, etc.(which I am able to "work through" in exertion of all of my activities...)
7). Happiness. I can have some sort of satisfaction knowing that I'm making progress in self-control
8)Confidence. I know that most men walk around in depleted, spent states. I can be around hot women and know that I'm holding something of value!
9). I know for a fact, that when I find a woman to "unleash" on, she is going to be in for the ride of her life!(If I'm with a woman who I don't think is too attractive, I do NOT ejaculate)

These are just my experiences. My friends think I'm crazy. Oh well! Do what you gotta do.....

6 months?!?! Are you guys out of your mind?

If you all can do it then I gotta tip my hat to you. The longest I have gone without jerking it has been a week. Heck, there are many days in which I do it multiple times a day. I just cant imagine myself going for six months without relieving oneself.

On the other hand, I will admit that masturbating too much has interfered with my life, at least on an indirect level. I notice that after I do the deed I become more relaxed but I also become more lazy and far less motivated. Thats one reason I never jerk off if I am planning on going out to socialize, because if I do, then I lose my desire to socialize or if I do go out I am a lot more passive. Therefore, I am willing to give this experiment a go, but only for 3-4 weeks tops, and even then it will be a struggle for me. Of course I will have to forego porn and most sites on the internet that I visit. Heck I may have to forget TV and internet altogether, especially during the first week and a half (this might actually be a good thing). I will be starting on Dec 1 as well

On a side note, it might be an idea if you all were to keep a post going detailing your progress.

I'm in dude. I started 2 weeks ago and I'm not looking back. What I've noticed so far is that it really makes you get that feeling of primal sexuality Gunwitch alludes to in his postings. I don't know about him or anyone else, but the point isn't to NOT shoot your load, the purpose is to NOT shoot your load solo (i.e., have a woman do it for you with her hand/mouth/pvssy). Basically, accept no substitute.
