"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I kind of beat myself up over not having any. I had a couple in high school but since I've hit college I haven't really made any. I've kind of always had the attitude that unless I'm interested in a girl sexually, I would rather just hang out with my guy friends. But i do have a girlfriend and I like hanging out with her.

I am kind of shy too so I get kind of get intimidated around girls and that probably doesn't let me open up to them as much as guys. I don't know how do you guys usually my female friends?

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I'm bumping this, because I have a very similar problem.

For the same reason as was mentioned in the oroginal post, I simply have a tough time making friends that are girls...and unlike bud_2005, I don't have a gf to boot. It seems whenever I try to make friends with a girl, if they're atleast somewhat attractive, they THINK I "like" them when I really do not b/c I use things like wit often and try to make them laugh.

Uhh... I honestly would not want to be friends with a female friend because I feel they will feminize me and the only persons that should be doing that would be my mother, sisters, ie...relatives and my girlfriend/wife/etc.

While you can get a "female perspective" it can be sketchy because you will believe that everything they say is the truth about women when it's not. Make them into your "acquaintances" or 'activity buddies" if anything.

You are correct in not wanting too many female friends (I feel one or two is okay IMO...there was an article on SoSuave explaining this not too long ago).

I think what Bud_2005 may mean, and what I would be inferring to is not to be great friends with the girl, but one that I can talk to - past a "hey, how you doin?'", one that will give you a hug when they see you, one that you can go out with AS FRIENDS (like to parties and stuff), one that will notice you though as a friend, etc.

If you, or anyone wants to state their opinions on this, it would definitely be some decent insight.
