'I like you, but not in that way' and the typical talk that followed was what I got as all guys get in this situation.
I did what was taught on here and have been on NC for a couple weeks. In this time, I've really lifted my game in regards to the gym, study, sports etc and I'm feeling really good. We've caught eachother out at parties and ironically, neither her nor I have actually hooked up while the other is in each others vincinity. She was messaging me and replying instantly while I essentially blew her off. I bumped into her waiting outside a class the other day all by herself as if waiting for someone. It was not me but she expected me to have a conversation with her but I simply gave her a hi and continued on with my mate I was talking to.
Don't get me wrong. It's been hard. I'll admit every now and then she pops into my mind. But I'm pushing through, number closing and getting dates yet I'm the one flaking now because I just don't feel up to it; rather focus on myself.
Then the other day as I was heading home guess whom I see walking out of class all by herself. It was as if a force above had made us cross paths. I was so TEMPTED, so tempted to run up to her and have a conversation, see how things were going etc. Yet I didn't. For once, I just hung back, thought oh well she's walking to fast I'll stick with my mates who were slowly coming around the corner.
Looking back I started asking myself, if I had caught up to her, what would it have achieved? What was I expecting? Should I have ran up to her for a friendly chat?
Did I do the right thing here?
