Hi,
I've never worked out before (have good height and right weight) but I lack strength. I want to increase my stamina and strength. How should I begin ? Should I join a gym or is swimming a better option ? I don't want to quit/do anything half-heartedly and then quit. Any help would be appreciated.

No more keyboard jockeying . Action is the place.
look into 5x5 programs. strength is the best way to start out lifting, endless bicep curls will infact NOT give you large biceps. heavy pulling will though. do some research, stay away from bodybuilding.com and welcome to the journey.

If your looking to build strength as well as muscle I would look into a "5x5" program like others mentioned. Theres a few of them out there... I went with Reg Parks program because that is the one Arnold Schwarzenegger followed as a beginner.

The next key thing for you is going to be learning "Form" and technique when performing these lifts. Some people will say "X" exercise is bad for because, blah blah blah. Exercises can only turn out bad from going too heavy or using bad form.. Keep it simple and learn as you go.
