NEWBIE here.. with a question on metabolism

HI all.. im new here..

Ive actually browsed through here a lot, but havent registered til now.. You guys all came across as very respectable and mature poeple, and i feel comfortable here, so i figured i would join :)

So to my question...

I have always been the skinny type.. all through high school i was always the small, skinny kid.. I weighed 2 lbs, 11 ounces at birth (seriously!!).. and i can remember wrestling (i wrestled all through high school) at 70 lbs class in 7th grade! I had muscle, and bone.. and no fat.

After graduation.. and having not wrestled or played soccer anymore, since school was over..I started to change. I didnt even notice it at first.. other poeple did. Then i realized, as i stepped on a scale at college.. I had gained about 50 lbs at least.

A first i thought it was awesome.. but then I noticed other things..

For one.. my arms.. and other parts of my body.. have nasty stretch marks.. My shoulders and arms grew tremendously, for no apparent reason.. and i am afraid to wear a wife-beater because of the marks..

At first, it was all muscle growth, but now i have a lot of fat.. and its SOO WEIRD... imagine being skinny as heck all your life, and then one day your fat.. tooo weird.

I have "love-handles"now.. as their commonly called.. and its freaking me out.. so i started exercising the other day.. for real this time:rolleyes:

Its just soo weird, going from having an awesome metabolism.. to being.. chubby. My face even changes.. and i can tell if i lost weight by looking in the mirror.. its like constantly changing.. oh yeah, im 21 btw(will be march 1st).

So my question is.. does anyone have a similar experience, and if so.. how did you overcome it? And is there a way to get my metabolism back?
