Lieutenant? Are you gonna do some administrative work now?
My Chief is getting up there in age, in his 70s, having some health problems. He is in the top 5 of men in the world I respect. Love the guy. He tried to make me Sergeant a couple years ago, but I turned it down because I had a lot of I.T. security compliance crap going on then. Was in process of moving to a new criminal justice database system. But that is all slowing down now. He hired a guy off the street to be Sergeant, and he is a total dead beat. I told Chief that if he makes me Lieutenant I will take a lot of stuff off his plate that the Sergeant should be doing. But he won't have to sh|t can the Sergeant if he doesn't want to. But with chain of command having the Sergeant between us, I can't do a lot of it now.
