Well here's a thread where I can sort of take more of a stance WITH the "American women svck" crowd lol.

Actually Danger this is wrong, in the self-defense laws you are only allowed to give back force in relation to the type of force put on you.

So a strong truck driver getting "hit" but a 160 lb woman might not be seen as self-defense, really depends.

With the lobbying of the court system by more liberal members of society (more government, women/minority rights, regulation of free market) alot of the court system has been influenced by liberal mindsets and women are PROTECTED MOST of the time from MOST attacks from men even if the guy had an actual right to defend himself.

IN most cases, if a guy is attacking a guy that's due force and the guy getting attacked can call his "force" self-defense. But with a woman not so, it has to be almost a situation where the chick is shooting at you to where you are given the "right" to knock her on her ass.

It's one thing if a woman slaps you in the face, but if there is a gang of them, go to town on all of them. I may go easy on them somewhat, but I would have put the guy in the group in the hospital.

My friend (and fencing instructor) was a strong proponent of Aikido, whose fundamental theory is to protect both you, and your attacker from injury. Its an intersting theory and an interesting martial art.

It this world, where a man's word will not be trusted, and lawsuits aplenty, this type of defense training seems very practical.

As to the laws, there are some crazy laws out there. So called "retreat laws" that say you basically must be cornered by the person before you can use signifigant force. I can't speak whatsoever to the laws in the UK, and barely about the the laws in the US. I do know florida has upheld many defense rights, including lethal force to defend your home.

At least in this story the girls got locked up, normally they get let off with a slapped wrist.

Okay, I was raised in a generation where striking a woman was a horrible thing. But then, most women still acted like ladies.

Now "lady" means any human female.(In my day it meant a feminine, mannerly woman who was graceful, polite and had class.)

The cold hard fact is men are, in general, larger and more powerful than men. When you hit, you do much more damage than we do. The law is NOT in your favor. If you hit a woman during an argument, you will be arrested & jailed, even if you were just "returning the punch".

My advice on the subject is this:

*If you are in the situation of the poor ba$tard in the video, treat them as male assailents and FIGHT FOR YOUR FREAKING LIFE! Punch, kick, bite, shove, anything you have to do to get them off of you. Call the police & press charges.

*If you're having an argument with your wife/girlfriend, don't let it get to the screaming stage. Step back, calm down, discuss it later with cooler heads. If you have to leave the house, do so. (This is better than getting into a physical altercation, for which YOU will be arrested for no matter WHO started it!)

*If your wife/girlfriend smacks, shoves, kicks, punches or throws things at you. LEAVE! Dump her instantly if she's a girlfriend, file seperation papers if she's a wife.
NONE OF THIS:

Dump her and don't go back. SHE WILL GET YOU PUT IN JAIL. She is toxic and does not deserve a good man in her life.

I'm not reading this article since it really has no bearing on the overall issue, but I see no moral issue with hitting a woman anymore than with a guy. They claim women are defenseless but it's simply not true.

If i'm 6'1 220 lbs of muscle and i come across a 5'6 140 lb emo guy it's STILL more okay for me to hit that guy than to hit some girl? They're both basically relatively defenseless. Especially since most chicks nowadays are like 200 lbs and have 6 inches of padding to absorb the blow.

I think this is a case of build up emotions through social training that you should feel bad about yourself.

I think everyone needs hit now and then. How about a one big wack with a cane rather than stupid pointless costly 1 year of probation after you commit a minor misdimeanor?

I would never punch a girl in the face, mostly because her face would break. And it should never come to that. If there is an argument and I get assaulted by a girl, I will take it. edit: after reading the article in detail, I noticed that it was another male who started the fighting and then the females jumped in when he was defenseless. I bet that if the male "leader" ended up with a broken neck, the rest of the girls would have just backed away.

I've never hit a woman, but I've often pondered this topic.

Before the hyper-feminazi-equality era, hitting a woman was acceptable in certain circumstances, and in fact commonplace.

Personally, I think if men were allowed to belt a tramp when she deserved it there would be a lot more respect in this country. But I have to agree with WaterTiger---as gratifying and justified as it may be, in the western world (especially the US) the man WILL lose. Jail time, hefty fines, anger management classes, and a criminal record just isn't worth it.

My only exception would be in cases of self-defense. If it's just one woman you could restrain her without actually striking her, but if it's a gang like that in the article...all bets are off. If they want to play like men then they can get hit by a man.

Ok, this is what I learned about self defense laws from my brother who is a chicago police officer.

If you feel your life is in danger, you can use deadly force. In a situation like the article before, he would have been justified in killing the men and women in the group.

Now if this is a single women, the law changes dramatically. A women has no chance of harming me without a weapon, I would only be allowed under the law to restrain her.

If you are ever in a situation like this guy, do what you need to do. Don't talk to the police. Explain the situation to your public defender or defense attorney. You will walk.

I think the whole point of never hitting a woman is that it's bullying under normal circumstances. It would be like me picking on the guy who's 5'6 and 130 instead of knocking out the guy who's about my height and build or larger.

The other side is that there are times when you will have to get a situation under control and the rule may fall through. Now it's about using the appropriate force for the situation. There are going to be times you can just restrain a woman and she'll give up. There are time where they aren't going to stop fighting no matter what and you may have to punch or kick them in the gut to take the wind out them. Real life is nothing like a book. What happens in a book doesn't happen in REAL LIFE. Do you live in a favela? No. You live in suburban america and have fantasies of destroying your enemies.

I've fought top notch boxers, golden glove champions. I've been hit with shots that should have knocked me out, but didn't. I've never even been knocked down. A woman isn't going to magically f*ck you up because she hit you just right.
