Why are there so many Neggers on SoSuave? Does negging another poster make you "alpha"?

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

You're at forum that is a gathering place for people who struggle, AFC means average FRUSTRATED chump. The frustration element is what you're seeing, it's a compensating tactic or defense mechanism. Making clever remarks is the more refined variation of negging, they don't yet know how to be that creative.
