"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Ok, well I'm going to this concert with a chick I sort of know but not really. I'm pretty sure there's gonna be quite a few people from my school there, as well as some other people I barely know. The bands that are playing suck, really bad, except for one which is mediocre. The real reason I'm going to the concert is to either get some interest from this chick or one of her friends (her friends are really good looking). This chick seems to be somewhat into me, however she is the kind of chick that everyone tells her how pretty she is. Same with her friends.

Oh, and they're SCENE kids.

I'm pretty pumped, but at the same time scared. I mean come on, this is a group of some totally hot chicks.

Anyone got any advice for me?

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

actually, that's not my problem. Last time I went to a concert, I saw that chick there with her friends, and they were all staring at me. Hell they were even trying to get close to me. I was moshing for a few minutes, then I jumped out cause I was tired, I actually caught one of them standing right next to me. haha I even looked at one of them for like 2 seconds and she looked away. she was intimidated! lol

but seriously, my problem isn't them being hot, I don't have a problem with that. my problem is starting a conversation with a group of hot chicks. I may not look intimidated around them, but it's hard to make funny jokes around hot chicks for me. :(

but then again, last time I had 2 other friends with me, who were friends with the group, therefore that might've gotten me some edge from them.
