Needing some suggestions on haircut

My hair is longer now and it's become pretty unmanageable. I'm not sure what to do with it.

I was thinking of getting a cut like this:

I like how my profile looks but I look like I'm wearing a helmet in frontal view

As for opinions I've gotten mixed. Some people tell me to just "trim it" while others tel me to keep it. I am resorting to you guys because I want to goddamn honest truth.

Maybe I'm an idiot here but the cut you have now looks to me like same cut in your Keanu Reeves example.

YOU have the long floppy bangs look and so does he.

Well my hair is all in 1 length..revees' hair is cut in layers

I'm also hoping for other suggestions. Maybe a buzzed cut?

I don't know..I get the sense that people think I'm 15 years old (when in fact I am 20)...perhaps a short cut would make me look more mature.

I hear you. Texture can make a lot of difference. Recently I went and got the usual $12 haircut but I asked the girl to put in some texture. When I left she parted it in the typical "nice guy" nerdy haircut. But I got home washed it, messed it up and put some texture paste in it and it looked awesome!

Have you had short hair before? Did you think it looked good on you? If you think short hair might look good on you, this is what I would do:

Go to a fancy haircut place that charges like $60 for a fancy cut. Tell the stylist you want it short with crazy texture. Then ask her to style it and pay close attention to what she does to it. I mean how dry does she get it before she puts the paste in it, ect. Then buy some fancy texture paste to go with it. Now assuming you like your cut, take a picture of it when you get home. Now next time you get a cut go back to your regular place and show em the picture and tell em how you want it cut and texturized.

Honest suggestion? I don't think short hair would look that great on you. I think you're better off having your hair kinda fall over your eyes kinda.. Hang on, lemme find a pic somewhere online to show you what I'm talking about..

You have really great hair! I wish I was blessed with hair that grew that straight. Unfortunately, I've got coarse hair!
