"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

But seriously, my room is clean, though if people are over, they would probaly be more likely to hang in the living room, as my room is freaking small.

But it is uber organized, because all my computer stuff, and other junk is in my closet.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Well obvioiusly, clean it up, organize your workspace, get any food containers out, and any food, burn some candles to get a nice scent, maybe repaint the walls, clean the carpet, some nice sheets, and nice blankets, just mainly organize everything, and keep it that way.

I need to look at the pictures again. Ok, so you need to organize everything, and especially the clothing, sell stuff that you don't want to keep, organize some more, don't stop, clean the carpet, clean the walls, or cover them up with some posters, or something, just cover the space, make it smell nice, organize any loose cables you might have lying about, and you should be jet set.

Depends on the day.. some days everythings all nice in alpha order and all that jazz but then other days I'll get some crazy project in my head and I devote my full attention to it at the expense of organization.

Doc, I think your first priovity would be getting a rather large trash bag and cleaning up the place.. poster is a good idea.

Curious:

Is that a sideways chair in front of the car seats?

I'm gonna start wroking on stuff down here, I'll post back when I'm done in a few months.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I think that you need "areas"... Like section off a computor area, confine all computor related possesions to the computor area, have a "relax" area, chairs (*please please please not the crappy one- at least put a throw over that thing!*), TV, couch, etc- do you have a floor plan of where stuff is? Cause you can use couches and things to sort of cut a room in half...

STORAGE is a major issue here too- bookshelves, boxes, cabinets- anything to organise it all!

Also, pannelled walls only make it look dark, and make the room look smaller.

Ps. Does "changing rooms" air in the US?

what, mine?

even if not:
I'm really retarded for doing that, it's where I dump small zips of progs, text files, shortcuts, other small stuff.

At one point, I had the WHOLE screen covered, it was awesome.

I want windows to have list view for desktop..bastards.

I'm rearranging stuff right now.. **** are desks heavy. I'm moving the couch in front of the TV unit and moving the TV unit where the folding table with the printers on it is, the desk and printers and all that computer stuff is going off into the other part of the basement that wasn't really pictured in my first post. I'll post pictures in a few hours when I get done.

My desktop has no icons on it, as shown here, but thats just personal preference: http://www.theabworld.com/mypad/ScreenShot026.jpg

Oh and a tip... never ever ever get cats as pets... I've been cleaning up after the damn things for the past hour.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

I've been wanting to code my own version of the windows shell, this way...I don't need icons, I don't need a start menu and I don't get the crashing that explorer has.
