A couple months ago, I met a girl out. We had some drinks and had a great time. Since, we have been dating and things were going great until about a week ago. I admitted that I lied to her the first night we met about what my brother did for a living. It was a pointless lie (just drunk and nerves) and I wanted to let her know because she was going to find out anyways. She initially just laughed it off, but then the next time I saw her she was acting very cold towards. She later admitted she had been thinking about it and is worried she cannot trust me.
I have not reached out to her sense, trying to give her time and space. I am mentally prepared to never talk to this girl again. However she keeps reaching out to me with snapchats and “Have a great day” texts. How do I proceed? Last time we hung out it was miserable, and I don’t want to walk into that again. Should I just continue to give her space and not contact her?
I figure there is nothing I can say or do to "win" her trust back and that I have "lost" her. But if she really does not want to "lose" me she needs some time to think about it, and then she will reach out to me.
Thoughts?
