I was on the phone with a HB 7 and i started saying dumb things. So i just stopped talking and we both just stayed on the phone for hours saying nothing. I felt confident, but everytime i said something she said ok.... like i was weird. HELP!!!!!!!
That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.
You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.
She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.
The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.
The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.
Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.
when u try to make good jokes, that's when u inevitably fail. never take jokes seriously, if they get a laugh, great. if they dont, great too. all that matters is that u enjoy urself. use jokes to amuse urself, not others, and then it will rub off on others and u will get more laughs.Rint said:thanx for the advice. Ok what about immature jokes i heard that somewhere. That kinda sounds like me. I usually tell lame imature jokes, but sometimes I whip out a REALLY good one and thats not me being full of myself i mean everyone cracks up. How do i have more of those good joke moments?
The same way you get good at anything; Practice. Watch great comedians in action, read funny books, joka around a lot with people who won't judge you.Rint said:thanx for the advice. lol dont know about him. im just in highschool myself, so i dont kno all but i'll try. i actually have one of these guys u talk about as a friendRint said:hmm. O Raikojo another thing. I noticed a guy in my class who is loud and dumb. I felt bad for him he'd always say dumb things in class. He came off confident and he tried to be funny. I feel bad for him how can he change his dumb outloud remarks and dumb comments to saying cool things that are more mature?
Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Always be cautious with your first joke to a set.
If you are not sure a joke will come off then keep it to yourself. Nothing is worse than telling a joke that isn't funny. If your first joke fails then you will be labelled as not funny.
Just wait until you have figured out the mood of the group before you drop your first joke. If it gets a laugh they will now see you as funny. Then you will be able to build on you first success with confidence.
Its weird but once people have decided you are funny it is easy for them to see the funny side of your comments.

lol cuz they view him as a try hard. this goes with the trying to be funny thing, if u try to hard then u will be labeled as a try hard, and not be funny. dont do wat he does.Rint said:ppl just dont talk to him. They think he a loud loser. All he does is make dumb comments to the teacher when he feels like it. He's a smart ass.
