I'm assured of a minimum of fourth place and in the money in my Pick 8 pool. The top 5 spots pay out. There are 3 of us tied for 2nd place and it'll come down to total points in the final game. I have 149 as my total and the other 2 guys have 171 and 162. I hope the 2 teams that make it to the final play a low scoring game and it could land me in 2nd place with a $200 difference between 2nd and 4th. Cheers!

They're having March Madness at my alma mater but for completely different reasons. There is currently no head coach. Tony Bennett from Washington State just said no to us. And now players are threating to transfer - not to mention the incoming recruiting class that has completely backtracked now that the head coach who recruited them is gone.

What a mess.

That one player, Carlos Roberts (?) was really impressive, he really wants to get picked high in the NBA draft. And I'm surprised Deon Thompson starts for UNC, he went to my school 2 years ago and everyone was saying he was just all size.

Yeah, Chicago does produce good ones. He Should go pro. Calipari will get more commitments to fill the gaps left by their exodus.

If he works on his defense, he has a chance to be the next Jason Kidd. If he gets really, really good at defense, he has a chance to be the next Gary Payton, only a better rebounder.

I watched him play in AAU tournaments when he was in high school. He was consistently the most athletic player on the floor, and there was top-50 talent around him at all times. He had a lot of the intangibles too, a good leader, a competitive drive, etc.
