"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Hi guys.

in this thread im gonna discuss myself and how my up bringing ( which could be simmilar to others ) has affected my frame of mind regarding women and other matters we experience in life..

kinda long , sorry guys so just take a deep breath before you start :D

A little about me

im 25 yrs old and studying to complete my masters, general good health, not fat or skinny and my body gets better every day thanks to working out. I would regard my self as of above average intelligence, fairly attractive ( as ive been told a coupla times )

I grew up with mom,pop and 5 sisters. YES, 5 sisters. Let me tell you about growing up with 5 sisters, for a start you can LEARN a hell of a lot about women and the flip side is that it effects your character and attitude enormously. Another thing i experienced was me being pampered or molly cuddled by my parents because being the only son amongst 5 sisters is really something. So i got special treatment.

I remember playing with my sisters throughout childhood up until i found some male friends and fell in love with soccer. All i used to do was play soccer, trade soccer cards, marbles etc etc.
I didnt have to compete for anything at home because EVERYTHING was done for me and given to me and there werent any arguments about stuff much because most of the time i got my way. That really made me into a wuss BIGTIME.

What we are told early on effects us TODAY

When a loved one or someone you trust tells you something at an early age, or gives you advice , then you tend to burn that into your mind for the rest of your life and accept it as the truth.
Another thing which can have the same effect is that if you keep hearing certain things about a topic or subject over and over again , this in turn can have the same effect. Since i grew up with 5 sisters you can guess what i heard over and over again.

"women DONT NEED MEN, it is MEN WHO NEED WOMEN"

"men are pigs!"

"men are perverts"

"yuk, did u see that guy following us, what a creep!"

"men are idiots"

.... you get the general idea.

I remember ever since i was young till this very day , my sisters friends would come over and visit them to talk about stuff. Obviously i wasnt allowed to take part in these "highly secret meetings"
They would talk about soaps on tv, other girls, clothes/make up, and guys.

I often over heard them talking about how they were all hit on by AFC's WBAFC's , creeps etc etc ALL the time. It was unbelievable. They were so used to it. I also over heard them "men bashing" so much that it frightend me.

Just a note here so we dont go off track* 2 of my sisters that were in high school back then were FEMINISTS. Yes siree. They used to have an active feminist woman attend the school weekly to lecture the girls about "men and theyre ways". I would hear all of this around my house, like i was an enemy.

It was obvious how i was effected by this. I thought:

"huh?!?!? , are men really like that? wow , women really get treated badly, if i hear my sisters talk about this stuff to each other and theyre friends, then other girls might talk about me like this to one another! i dont wana be labelled a creep!
I cant let that happen SO IM GONNA BE EXTRA NICE TO EVERY SINGLE WOMAN I MEET and NOT UPSET THEM AT ALL. Women are poor creatures and are suffering because of us men."

ALL that was being fed into my no longer pure mind.
There i was, an innocent little boy who was being exposed to feminist thinking at such a vulnerable age

and id also hear this on the flipside....

"boyband member of group XYZ is sooo cute, or actor X is so good lookin "

"wow did you see that guy, hes so hot"

"the dentist/pharmasist/doctor is really good looking over at XYZ/I]"

...again you get the general idea.

This effected me in TWO ways.

1st.) I was being compared to these SO CALLED hot guys by my sisters and theyre friends. This would happen when i was growing up and i was made to feel VERY inferior. I had zero confidence and my self esteem was non existent. I thought "i couldnt compare with these guys, im skinny and ugly :("

2nd.) I thought "WOW, these guys are LUCKY that girls like my sisters and theyre friends have accepted them and think that these guys are hot, WOW WOW WOW these guys must really be something special so that girls like them".

I thought it was natural that women were on pedestals and swooped down once in a while to take the LUCKY FEW men that caught theyre eye from high up above. I would honestly believe that men had to be "very impressive" to a woman for her to choose him and that women dont really NEED men, and that MEN NEED WOMEN. All this was being fed into the mind of an innocent young boy growing up. This also made me feel down because i thought i was MISSING out on ALOT of girls whilst other guys where getting it on.

i started high school....oh no

I started high school around age 14, and at this time i started going through
puberty. It was at this time that i really needed a father figure around me to tel l me whats up. A father figure or a big brother or something. I had no one. My pop was always working, i mean ALWAYS. We werent as well off as we are now, we had just enough to get by. I dont diss my pop for anything , HE was a hardworking man supporting his family and his parents ( my granpa granma ). He had to handle that, it was on his head. So during my teens i didnt see my pop much. I had no one to tell me about how to grow up and be a MAN.

My mom was working too but not as much as my pop, so they didnt really have time to teach me about lessons in life or what not.

Obviously in high school , i saw GIRLS differently. I was mesmerized by some of them, afraid even. I looked at female moviestars / singers differently. You know how it is :D

During all this i decided that i want a girl but i didnt know how to do it.
I had no one to ask. My pop wasnt there to tell me something like:

"Son, you either handle girls or they handle you. Grab your bolls , stop whining and handle your business"

instead i had my sisters tell me:
"girls like a guy with a nice heart , and sweet and fit and goodlookin and caring and honest and sincere and cuddly etc etc...."

You all know where that got me , NO WHERE but crash and burn city baby , oh and a lot of heartache. What made the heartache worse was that my best friend was very goodlookin, the boy had girls falling all over him and i didnt. Now when i say goodlookin i mean it. I wont hate on the guy, he was a chick magnet.

This made me feel even worse, maybe jealous as to why he gets girls and i dont, and that i could never be that attractive. Just pure bad luck of having a very attractive friend. Although i look much better now, i can say he has nothin on me now
Hes still great guy though :D

double standards about expressing sexuaity

This was another thing that really screwed my mindset up. My sisters openly talked about guys infront of me. They discussed them and how attractive they were. Wether it was a guy they knew or a celebrity. They were expressing theyre sexuality openly.

During my teens, my sisters had pictures of backstreet boys or tom cruise / brad pitt / etc etc plastered in theyre rooms. They didnt care , they saw it was a normal thing to do. It was.

If i ever said something about expressing my sexuality id get a "ugh, pervert" remark or something so i never did it nor spoke about it ever.

Back then i had a thing for pammy anderson, and i remember i had to hide my pictures of her in bikinis and stuff under my bed. Girls look at guys showin off theyre pecs and six packs, guys look at girls in bikinis , simple as.

All this "not expressing my sexuality" was carrying through when encountering girls. I figured that when i talked openly about my sexual desires as a man or comment on beautiful women, then girls dont like that because i look creepy and perverted. But i thought "its ok for girls to express theyre sexuality openly". I figured thats how it was, hell thats how it was in my house so thats how it is period. Thats what i honestly believed.

So along with not expressing my sexuality , trying to keep girls happy/ not creeping them out, believing my self to be unnattractive and unw
orthy to girls, hoping that some day a girl would swoop down from her golden throne in the sky and choose / approach me, or maybe some day a girl would give me a chance or i will just GET LUCKY, i was transformed into a SUPREME NICEGUY.

I dont blame myself , i was FED THIS SHYT from CHILDHOOD!. I couldnt believe why girls didnt want me, i was SO NICE! how could they resist me.
Because of all of the above, i really felt nervous around girls.

I thought, "WOW, a girl infront of me, shes talking back to me AND SHE IS DROP DEAD GORGEOUS, How am i supposed to respond in order to not scare her away and like me? what can i do to get her impressed and interested? there must be something, omg she can have ANY guy she wants, im not good enough for this goddess."

That is called CHUMPDOM my friends. Elite CHUMPDOM.

The Change....

Still here are we? ok... this is what happend to me to change my views. Like i said before i hardly ever saw my mom and pop because they were working alot so they couldnt keep theyre eyes on me the whole day.

This led me to the streets. The place where i come from is a red light district full of drugs and crime. I met up with some friends from across the street and began to hang. I hung out from 10am till late.

It was here where i learned how things REALLY are, how MALES act amongst one another. I was never agressive as a child, i was now. I was involved in fights, i started fights, i was becomming a thug and i ENJOYED IT. I became FEARLESS and LET GO of EVERYTHING. I was ready to fight anyone , anywhere!

i let go of all my fears, everything.

I was 16-17 yrs old went back to my final 2 yrs at high school ( 6th form ), as a changed man. I Spoke to girls , guys, anyone. i walked with confidence, i let my balls hang, i didnt give FLYING FVCK ABOUT ANYTHING and it showed.

I had also started working out and felt much more confident. I didnt care who was around me , girls , guys, it didnt bother me. i was above everyone else. What ever was fed into my mind about girls , i forgot and i was out there not looking for a girl but just looking to chill and have a good time.

First week back and guess what happens, i get approached by a girl :D.
A kinda girl that likes to fvck , and fvck alot. Your damn right , muttley SCORED :D

I looked the same, but dressed better but the main thing was MY ATTITUDE changed %100. I WALKED THE WALK and TALKED THE TALK. I DIDNT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING, theyre only girls man and if anyone had a problem with me id stomp em into the ground.

From then on i was unstoppable. Beautiful girls really didnt have much effect on me, i wasnt afraid of them at all. Maybe extremley hot pornostar /model type girls would put me off guard a bit, i still wouldnt care at all.

The hottest girl in high school was hookin up with my frend who was very AFC, but blessed with great looks. I remember she took his mobile fone and wudnt give it back to him and said she doesnt have it .

He was too scared to get it back from her and i looked at him and laughed out "YOU PVSSY" i went back and demanded it from her and she denied even having it, BULLSHYT!!

i just said "fine" and grabbed her HANDBAG and said "THIS IS MINE UNTIL I GET THAT FONE BACk BABY!!"
hey presto she pulled the fone out her jacket pocket faster than flash gordon saving planet earth

So from my own life this is what i can tell you in all honesty from what ive seen/experienced:

women need men as much as men need women

women cruise for d1ck like men cruise for pvssy. Women want you to believe that men are not that important to them and that your not really needed, but YOU ARE. Dont forget that.
They have more power over you when you think this, so dont. They are out there for US and no one else.

Women check guys out as much as guys check out women, women ARE perverts too

when you walk into a room full of women, youve allready been checked out just like youve allready checked out all the potential hot chicks.
Women scout for guys more than you think. A female friend told me once that she wants my friend to "Do her on the table" at a party he was throwing.

Just because shes SO hot , doesnt mean shes a BYTCH and that she will bite your head off

There is a girl at my work place who is easily a 9, body and face. ALL the guys look at her, ALL the girls wanna be her.
She dresses with style, her hair is great , t1tz , azz , legs stomach , are perfection. You would think that she has a bytch shield up 24/7, but when she opens her mouth , she is one of the nicest girls u can ever meet . A very sweet and bubbly girl. Ive known less attractive girls who are COMPLETE BYTCHS compared to the very attractive ones. That is the gods honest truth.
So get out there and just talk to these girls, just talk to them !!

Stop prowling and just CHILL

Stop prowling all the time and just get out there and chill. You will get pvssy.

Imagine a horny, desperate, nervous girl approached you. What would you think?

youd prolly fvck her lol. no seriously , you would think "she needs it bad cos she aint getting it" this in MY EYES, makes her less attractive.

Another thing is that her body lanugauge, actions, tone of voice will telegraph the fact that she approached YOU BECAUSE SHE NEEDS YOU and this puts YOU in a place of POWER. Now you can make her jump through hoops. Get my drift a little?
This is what happens and shows when your always on the prowl, so just chill out man , relax and lay back.

Now what if the same girl approached you and was like:

"Hey!! how r u muttley???"
"Well ive had a busy week but im so glad im out 2nite and having fun!"

thats waaay better.

Dont be on the prowl all the time , just chill and enjoy it out there. Just talk nd chill.

show her your a man

See that hot girl your drooling over? yeah that one...what makes u drool so much? Its her womaness or femininity. Curves on a woman are feminine and look womanly. breasts too. But thats not only it. Its her womanly actions that attracts you too.

Imagine this...
That same hot girl walked over to you like she was muscle bound like a body builder and said :

"yo wassup man? you got the new KRS ONE CD? gimme it man i need it. Ill get if offa yo ass after i played footbal and ill be over at the bar to watch the game and down a few beers. Are you hungry? lets get some steak, beef and chicken cos im bulking at the moment. hell after the game we will shoot pool come home and watch rambo 3"

then she high fives you , spits and walks off.

I dunno about you guys but thats not feminine behaviour. Its a turn off.

Same goes for women. They like a MAN.

Just accept the fact that you are different and you have different desires and actions. Accept your self for what you are, A MAN , so ACT LIKE A MAN.
Now that doesnt mean you stand on the table and beat your chest like tarzan. Just do what comes to you naturally, act naturally , accept your manhood and dont hold it back.

That also doesnt mean act like a pr1ck or a jerk and being rude to the woman,
nopes, just do what you feel is normal and natural, act like a man would act because thats WHAT YOU ARE.

be subtle with sexuality

This follows on from the one above. Women express sexuality better then men. Theres a difference in being sexual and being horny/desperate.

Ever talked to a girl and for example, talked about a movie or a soap opera or a tv program and the girl says "the lead actor is cute/hot/sexy"?

What does that show u? It shows you that she is a sexual being and looks at men in a sexual way. it makes her appear more sexy.

Theres no harm in you doing the same thing. You wanna comment on britneys body? then go ahead
say "britney has a great figure!, she has a good firm body"

dont say "man britney has a great ass and great t1ts wowzer!",
tone it down a little, be subtle.

express your sexuality the way women do.

dont compare your self

When you compare your self to others it can make you feel inferior or more dominant. Dont say "hes got a beemer and i have a ford", SO FVCKING WHAT.
Let him enjoy his beemer, an dyou enjoy your ford. Look out for your self and do things that make you happy.

accept your self and your manhood

God made you a man and be proud.
When i was a kid i read stories about powerful men, brave men, strong men, intelligent men, honorable and noble men. Its sad to see in todays world that no one is raising young boys to be men anymore. Thats not yoru fault. Like me , i was raised in a house full of women

Men are not cowards and men are brave. I FEAR nothing, and why should i fear women? The same applies for you.

Are you scared of fighting another man?

i sure hope you said "NO WAY!, ill stomp any man who squared up to me"

Are you scared of fighting a woman?

LOL i really hope you said "WTF are you crazy??!??!??!, i woudnt fight a woman , but il bytch slap any woman that stepped to me, is this a joke?!!?!?"

If those wear your answers then ask your self why you fear women so much? YOU shudnt fear them at all, there is nothing to fear.

I swear to you that the first time you make that beautiful woman break and turn her into a little girl , your whole views will change. You gotta stay brave brother.

stay strong

Good post... "For me to poop on!"

This is what you AFCs need to understand. You need to get it through your feministic ***** ass skulls that you're the one that's creating the fear, and the things you thought were true about women, aren't what they seem. However, about you being a punk ass ganster boy, I disagree. I'm getting so tired of these wannabe ghetto kids that think they're all tough. Why the hell do you think you have to prove that you're the toughest kid in the playpen? So that you can show everyone that no one can be as insecure as you? You need to stop acting like an immature dumbass and more like a man who keeps his cool. Put down the $5.99 cap gun you bought from Fred Meyer, and grab your balls instead. More than not, people think you're retarded if you're in a gang or trying to act like a thug. Think about that.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

yo thx for the replies! its much appreciated

First, DogFashionDisco

from reading your reply i honestly think that you didnt read my WHOLE post fully.
I never said "be a thug" or be a gangster.
If i said be a thug or gangsta, then why am i half way through my masters degree and have a job at the same time to pay for
my tution fees? how many gangstas you know that are completing a masters degree? and dont say Dr. Dre has lol

if u see what i post here

"That also doesnt mean act like a pr1ck or a jerk and being rude to the woman,
nopes, just do what you feel is normal and natural, act like a man would act because thats WHAT YOU ARE."

The part i posted about fighting and all that stuff was about me hanging with the local youths in my hood when i was a teenager. Its not my fault that i came from a poor neighborhood, but i try hard and im more mature than you think. Obviously i dont do any of that stuff anymore, but the whole point was to let you know that i became FEARLESS from this experience, i didnt fear anything and dont anymore, as compared to before where i was full of fear and no confidence because of my upbringing. Read my post again please, and read it all.

I have my own place, car, job etc etc. Hopefully when my masters is complete ill land my self a much better job and move out to some where better. :)

Secondly caldus, more or less the same thing to u brother. Plz read the post from begginning to the end. It shows u how i changed from having zero confidence to having much more.
I never said "be a thug", where did i say that.

i posted about not takin **** from anyone. i didnt say "go beat up random mofos". When things get out of line , MEN put theyre fists up. If you dont have the guts to do that, then im sorry but you will have to do it some day when some drunken bum wants a peice of you in a bar or somewhere.

Just be brave and have balls, dont fear any man ,woman or anything. Stop being nervous around women, abolish that fear and talk to them like you would to someone normally.

peace

I did read your post. I was agreeing with the above poster thinking that he was just making a random comment about thugs in general.

Stop being nervous around women, abolish that fear and talk to them like you would to someone normally.
Easier said than done for most people on here buddy. For me I just have general social anxiety but it's not so bad that I start hiding whenever I'm around a bunch of people.

true man, thats true. it is easier said than done. You just have to find out what makes you react that way? what is your mind frame and scope of thinking. For me it was my childhood / adolesence and what i had drilled into my brain by my sisters + theyre friends.
What if ever since your childhood someone told you all the DJ bible every day of the week? how would that make u compared to someone filling your head with AFC shyt...cos thats exactly what happend to me and my confidence was non existant because of this and that was the root cause of every thing.

I am the same way. I fear women and I will do something about it when I start and hopefully complete the bootcamp.

I never grew up around 5 sisters but I was brainwashed from an early age to treat women like princesses and that I was so inferior and I'd never be able to get a hot girl etc.

I now know that all this isnt true in my mind, but my body still gets messed up.

Like my heart beats like crazy, I start to sweat, I mumble, etc.

I feel like im facing death itself whenever I even contemplate approaching a hot woman.

Its rediculous.

I dont fear any man, (I am a great fighter, I can handle my own against anybody. Been doing muay thai and TKD since I was 12.)

but for some stupid reason I am scared to death of hot women.

Then I complain and feel sorry for myself that I havent had a GF yet.

Its obviously my own fault, if I never tried to get one, how will I?

But My mind is under control. I know what to do and how to do it, its just my nerves get the best of me.

I need my mind to control my body better in these situations.

Im a great guy. and

I am still stuck in my shell.

I know that when I bust out, I will be unstoppable.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Yup that's a good way to put it. Stuck in my shell as well. I just absolutely freeze up in social settings. Don't know what to say to a bunch of people that are so different than me.

I'm not trying to be a complete d1ck here but fvck, can you provide the cliff-notes? I made it half way through thread one and thought I saw no end in sight so I scrolled down abit, THREE REPLY'S TO YOUR OWN TOPIC. Damn man, be concise if you plan on having anyone read that shi'ite. I gave up when you where trying to blame your sisters and the women in your life for your problems. Thats a whole nother story I wont even bother with. Seriously can you sum up your thesis in like 2-3 paragraphs that make sense without excuses?

welcome to my world
It's nice to read success stories like this every once in a while. Good job muttley. I personally know how it's like growing up with lots of women in the family, although it wasn't their influence on me that made me so afc.

Mjfan12, that's the right attitude you have. I used to be just like you:

The whole nervousness bit, I used to exactly like that, and not just around women. Doctors prescribed Paxil and Prozac and said I had social anxiety. Heck, even this one time, I got into a little confrontation and had an Uzi (yeah, powerful gun) pointed at me, but I still wasn't nearly as scared as I would get approaching a girl. Pretty messed up.

I never took the medications my doctors prescribed. Instead, I luckily found this site just in time...found out there were others. I forced myself into social situations. Talking to strangers, joined clubs/organizations that would force me to talk in front of crowds, and of course, started doing cold approaches.

I think muttley is right, but some things like treating hot women like other people is easier said than done for some.

Even in my case, I gotta say that I was pretty lucky that the women in my family (especially my mom) had a lot of faith in me that I could prove to myself that I didn't have any social anxiety or depression. It helps to have some sort of support.

I completely got over my anxiety and am now comfortable approaching hbs around school, stores, etc. Sure, I get a little hesitant every once in a while, and I can't say I've had the best success in terms of dates, gf, etc, but approaches will definitely abolish your fear.

I'd say the key is to bombard yourself with that which you fear most. Face fear everyday, day in, day out. Practice makes perfect. Just look at this way, you have nothing to lose, and though you'll be comfortable avoiding fear, the feeling you get when you face it is just awesome. After overcoming your fear a few times, you'll just relish doing it again and again, until it becomes nonexistent.

Get started on that bootcamp, I bet you'll be glad you did. Good luck.

I can sort of relate to this story. My mother was abused by her mother (when the father would close his door and do nothing) when she was a child. My mother's coping methods was to learn as much as possible about why people abuse while I was growing up. Since my sister is quite older than me and off in college (she was my only sibling and never had to hear this stuff), my mother regulary would discuss these issues and the mind set with me. She then would compare my father to some of these behaviors she would read about. What is ironic, I never heard or saw my father ever lay a hand on my mother. Then I would see my mother get upset with my dad over stupid issues like he didn't know where the pan that is never used was. What really packs an AFC punch, is my dad would never stand up for himself when my mother went on these rants. Then my mother would compare things she read to me and tell me I remind her of things she reads about these abusers. More irony, I have never been physically abusive or even feel that I could ever be that person. Then she took up volunteer work at a local hospital as a domestic violence advocate. By this time, I was in college. She would tell me all these stories of women in the ER from injuries that their BF's or husbands would inflict. Couple that with her continued research on the newly mainstreamed World Wide Web, we have a disaster. All these experiences made me PROVE to my mother that I wouldn't be that person (And it just proved I was an Mega-AFC). I would be nice to women, let them lead, talk about safe topics, and seek approval from her. When I would get physical, I feared to advance, because they may think I would be accused of rape and my mother would be disappointed. I was so MEGA-AFC, that I went three years out of college with one GF for 6 weeks total. I was getting older and getting no where. After reading and learning things I should have learned years ago, the tsunami of AFC is recovering nicely.

Social anxiety.... son of a.... that title comes from educated people who lack common sense.
I have an obesity disorder... No, you're fat, stop eating, exercise...
My buddy told me that he was put in a situation where he couldn't tell a girl (who had a boyfriend) no when she wanted sex. He claimed he got sloshed so whenever she came over she'd be turned off by it. My words exactly to him, "Shut up, you could have told her to leave any time."
GEEZ!!!! People won't accept them blame for anything.

yeah, i agree...i doubt the "condition" even existed in the 60s or 70s...as society becomes progressively worse, "conditions" like these are fabricated or given names as an excuse for those (like the way i used to be) who are anti-social due to sitting home and playing videogames all day and avoiding social activities because they are insecure, unconfident, etc...it's not even a real disorder or anything

i am living proof that it is not a medical condition...and so are many others on these boards...

as for depression (or social anxiety for that matter), i agree with this:

The type of "anxiety" I have is not the typical just scared to meet people anxiety. It's the type where pretty much every time I meet a new person, I feel like it's not meant to be. I feel like I'm breaking some kind of gate that I'm not supposed to be breaking when I meet that person. I guess it's kind of the same but I just wanted to describe exactly how I feel when I meet pretty much anyone. And I have felt like this for a long time.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.
