I've always heard how out of shape Americans are, but never really payed it any mind. At hershey park amongst 1000s of people in bikinis and swim trunks, I saw 5.

Five guys who look like they worked out. Five.
AMONGST 1000s!!


Its ridiculous! Do you know how much status that means a nice body is? Out of 1000s not even 1% looked like they have touched a weight in years!

Women were a little better. Maybe 50 chicks with nice 2 piece bodies.

Want to stand out in 2015? Get in shape.
If you want to be a donjuan I advise you go join a gym asap.

Makes sense. You won't find them in an amusement park because they're busy working out, they don't go to amusement parks because they'll be tempted to eat unhealthy. Overweight people enjoy life, eat stuff that tastes good, relax and go to amusement parks to have fun.

Seriously though, good health is better in the long run than getting fat and get sick down the road.

Eh, it depends on where you are. I live around the Chicagoland area, and kids here mature fast as hell (the midwest in general, but I've noticed the closer you get to Chicago, the crazier it gets). Like about a fourth or fifth of the TEENAGE population lifts weights. The adult population is like one third. If they don't lift, then they're naturally strong. If somehow those naturals lift, then they are mini hulks. Like stupid strong.

I went to Seattle for several days about 2 weeks ago. First thing I noticed (and I'm probably gonna get a lot of hate for this but whatever) is that there are WAY too many homos there. Way too many. The second thing is that NO ONE LIFTS. It's pathetic. Maybe it's my ego speaking for me, but I feel stronger than half of the male population over there. I was over-hearing a convo between a group of 4 college students at some restaurant and 2 were saying how they lost a lot of weight thru exercise and are trying to now gain muscle and how they gained something like 6 pounds again and how exercising is so hard etc. I look at them and I see 2 scrawny dudes probably trying to talk themselves up in front of the other 2 chicks. Not to bash them, but it's like yo, you ain't got nothing to brag about. (also, I'm not bashing anyone who lives in Seattle or areas outside the midwest, just stating what I notice)

Exercising for 1 hour a day is not special at all if you have a 9-5 desk job. 2 hours a day, hey it's definitely something so props to you if you can do that. I just hate it when I see how people are saying how it's so hard to exercise. Those college kids for example, they don't work and have their parents paying for everything. If that's the case, then you oughta be killing yourself by improving yourself. If you have to work, pay rent, do the bills, etc etc. hell ya you have an excuse to not workout for 5 hours a day. But you should still find it somewhere. Plus, you should not include rest as a part of that 1 hour of 'working out'. It should be 1 hour minimum of you having your heart rate elevated or your muscles really strained. Resting between sets does not count as exercising. So don't count it into that '1 hour' of 'working out'.

Very true cola. I went to the outdoor pool at the YMCA yesterday and it's surprising how many overweight people there were, given that it's a really nice fitness center in our area.

When you work out regularly though, you have that extra confidence to take off your shirt by the pool and feel good about girls checking you out. They claim otherwise, but girls are just as shallow as we are, and take any opportunity to check a guy out.

It's why I've worked a little extra hard on my abs this summer. It's one of those muscle groups that really gets attention from the ladies

You won't get as "swole" as people who use steroids like Vin Diesel or Arnold unless you also take steroids, so I don't think you have to worry about that.

How do you currently look? are you fat or are you just untrained?

im always perplexed by the guys who say they dont want to look like arnold, or they dont want to get too big and bulky because they seem to think that with just a little bit of lifting they are going to gain as much mass as one of the best competitive bodybuilders that ever lived. the part i really dont understand is that if you really believe that you would get arnold type gains that easily and quickly, then WHY THE FCK wouldnt you be lifting???


to answer your question, you wont get big and bulky if you arent eating tons of food and taking tons of steroids and supplements. if you just cycle through compound lifts/machines at the gym for 45 minutes to an hour a few times a week, hitting your entire body, then you should get pretty lean and toned if you are eating a decent diet.

Why don't you try going to a beach volleyball tournament in LA and tell me how many in shape guys you see.

Abs, you just work it like crazy. Sit ups, V-ups, the likes. All that stuff got easy for me so I made my own modified version of the situp. I put something sturdy to hold my feet then I put my hands on my head (you can do shoulders if you want). Next, I proceed to do situps, but I hold my back a few inches above the ground and come up instead of actually having my back touch the ground. Throughout all of these situps that I do, my back never touches the ground. it gets close to it, but never does. This make it way harder. Just make sure if you do this that you round your back forward rather than arch it backwards or else you are gonna have back problems (the complete opposite of doing a proper squat).

Bent over rows will help your lats and eventually it may look like you have broad shoulders (I have really strong lats and natural broad shoulders so breathing in and flexing make me look like Bruce Lee lol https://gaijinexplorer.files.wordpress.com/2015/07/bruceleelats.jpg )

Pecs are built best by doing chest flies. Traps are built by shrugs, but I personally don't really do them.

You can enhance your jaw line by chewing gum a lot and by chewing really hard. When you eat food, chew really hard too.

Fix your posture and stance too to be more masculine as well. Chicks will subconsciously come to you. The more masculine your body language and facial expression, the more feminine women will come to you. This, I have strongly noticed.

There's others, but it's a lot to type up.

Failed mindset.

There are tons of guys with pathethic bodies and cute girls and they are tons of ripped guys with pathethic women.Working out for women will get you injured or into steroids because you try to hard and it is never enough.Why you should workout ? For yourself. To feel better, stronger, healthier.

I worked for women once upon a time ... I worked out really hard.And I got injured.It took a year and tons of money to recover.That was costly and precious lesson, from that time I work out only for myself, I never push myself to hard to look 'more impressive' for women, or look better than other men and because I stopped to care so much I actually start to enjoy my training, my motivation is higher and look better than ever.Men who work out for women are same obsessive as women who think they are always to fat,they must get thinner and thinner- it is road to unhappiness because you depend on other people to validate you.

This is female mindset - to get attention.This works for females.They get attention, they get aproached, they get more potential mates but it doesn't work for males until you are active in your social life or aproaching.

Money, Looks, Nice Body, Being Well Known, Social Proof = Value.
Value = Attraction. <-- Not debatable. Fact.

Being Jacked and wearing a shirt 2 sizes too small at the club while flexing muscles at every opporunity = Attention Seeking

Being Jacked and just chillin' = Value.

No, dont work out for women, but its a nice perk of working out. increased value

I've just started in the gym and aiming to lose 1 1/2 stone by end of September.

Not going to lie part of this is being single again and wanting to be the most attractive I can be.

However, most important is for my own self confidence- when I'm in shape I feel great about myself and it makes me feel good. Nothing beats that.

you got the 20 year olds cause you're single US man in CUBA. they want to get the hell OUT of there, go to US make good money and send it back to help their families. You can be very old, very out of shape and still get such ladies and if you clean up your act, and treat her right and you're careful about your choice, it can be a good deal for you for 5, maybe even 10 years, but then WATCH out, man.

Maybe she doesn't want more. Dont settle for one that's not at least a nurse, who can pay you 100k the first 3 years. Get that money into gold coins and holes in the ground, NOT in your back yard, at night, many places. Use a "one time pad" to record the GPS readings AND a disceription of how to find each place. Nevada corporations for owning property and never use normal phone or pc to contact them, nor leave correspondence just lying around.

Funny I just posted on this in Mature Man. Being strong definitely adds value. That's why it also attracts attention. To me it's no different than making sure you keep up with the latest in your field or improve your business skills so you are more promotable. You have to work for what you want in life.

Noticed this at the beach as well. I didn;'t realize there were so many people who were out of shape.

I also agree about girls, seems like they all have small guts now. I understand girls need a higher bodyfat percentage to carry children but god damn, that doesn't mean eat mcdonalds until you're 30% body fat lol.

Agree with this to. I get stared down when I go out, anywhere. More by guys than girls, is what it seems like. Once you get too big there is an opposite effect </3
