I think it largely depends on whether she finds you attractive. Also, i doubt she'd call you an "@sshole". She'd get fired for that.

Tone and inflection is key. You want to say it in an obvious playful teasing way. And you can always follow it up with something else like:

Me: psh I bet you say that to all the guys, but I'm way cuter right?

Essentially purposely stealing what a girl would say to a guy during a flirty conversation.

And if she does respond with something negatively, either blow it off she just saved you a lot of time or keep playing with it for your amusement.

Her: it's part of my job @$$hole

Me: it's part of your job to hit on cute guys?! Interesting
