"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Alright, I best start this. The reason for this is to help me get where I want to get and achieve my aims. Now I tend not to like writing things down, so if I don’t post here for a week, id appreciate a kick up the bum. It will be long and boring, but will help me. U dont need to read this unless you have spare time.

Now I apologise to those I have been unable to recently help in their questions, I have been very busy. I just finished my AS levels, which are like half of my final exam marks.

The reason I have been driven to start this, albeit a day later than I wanted to is because of a trip down to Exeter university for an open day.

Now the university trips are swarming with hotties and I always kind of feel out of my element. The journey there was three and a half hours long. The way out I had two people come sit opposite me over a table, I always steal two seats, sit in the outside one, bag in the window one. It’s a good principle for travelling on public transport. Anyway I had a mum and daughter, neither of whom was fit and who were obviously travelling down where I was. Anyway I was gonna speak to them, but a) they looked unfriendly b) I did not have enough nerve c) I had a hell of a lot to read/do anyway.

But afterwards, I still feel I should have talked to them as it would have been good practice and maybe made it more interesting, plus you can always learn new things from people. Lesson 1 learned (due to regret), again go with my first instincts, something I always tell myself. And SPEAK TO PEOPLE.

Anyway after that I got there and decided to walk up to the university because I missed the first bus (it was too full as I had gone back in to inquire about my tickets). Plus I like walking and I need to lose weight. Anyway I got there and was amazed at the number of girls looking around, plus sign (I was later told by my m8s, it has a rep as a girls uni, its goin on the shortlist :D).

Down sides of the actual day at the university, despite meeting a friend and speaking to girls in the sixth form there, I only really hit on one girl, in the law lecture (maybe bad timing) and she kinda blew me out, just wasn’t really interested in speaking.

Anyway I walked around a lot more and even walked from one train station to the next as I was bored waiting for the train on the way back.

When I got on I did the same trick, taking two seats by the rare tables, unfortunately (or fortunately) I sat down with my back in the direction of travel. This meant that a mum and her daughter came and sat down opposite me, lucky me, the daughter was in the aisle again, therefore opposite me, legs together under the table (not much room). She was around a 7, but she was cute and my type.

Alright, im gonna cut this short as its taken me three days to write this much, as im lazy and very busy.

Basically I spoke in monosyllables to them a couple of times. What I really wanted was for the mum to go to the toilet so I could strike up a conversation with her. However, only the girl went, I think she was on her period as she got a little bag out of her rucksack and took it with her (they were very nice modern toilets). Anyway, later I realise it does mean she is interested in me as girls are least sexually receptive (biologically) during their period. See observation and knowledge are very useful.

Anyway after about half an hour she put her headphones in, kinda blowing my chances as it would have been hard to speak to her. However, then she kept taking them off and looking at me. Throughout this I was feverishly racking my brains to think what to say to her (Note to self: say anything it doesn’t matter). I asked the mum the time and stuff when the girl was not there (I needed to know it) but for two hours I sat there kicking myself, not speaking to her, everytime I thought of something to say she would put her headphones in, aargh. Eventually while I was re reading lots of stuff she started talking with her mum. Ten minutes or so into it, she mentioned the DoE award, something that I do, so I joined in the conversation and spoke to her for an enjoyable half an hour. During this time I must have had awesome social proof as I kept getting rang, even by my teacher. I felt I had connected with her, she laughed at my jokes, me and her made faces to each other. All in all awesome, although I think I could have got some more kino in, bearing in mind our legs were so close.

However, when we are about ten minutes from the final stop, I began thinking how to get her number. Her mum had kept herself included in the conversation so I felt a bit awkward. I was just deciding to ask her, when the girl stood up and started to pack, I was confused. Then we pulled up at the stop before and they got off. As she was doing so, I was killing myself for not getting it, but still didn’t want to ask in front of the mum. And couldn’t find my pen, damn it.

Alright, sorry to inflict this, but I feel I need to do this as otherwise I will forget my lessons.

Lessons I learned, just say something, anything, get her talking.
Get the number, close it.
Don’t get intimidated by others.
Speak to people.

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

Don't you just hate it when their mum is right there!

Hey, I guess it's all about delivery. Mums are people too! Still best to ask for the number in a toned down "I'm not going for sex" kinda way. It'll make it easier on you and her mum. Besides, I've heard it's disrespectful to outright ask her daughter for a **** in the train toilets in front of her.

By the way, at least you went to the ****ing open days, I just looked at the dates today and they were all on the 21st or 22nd. I am such a ****, argh ****.

Where you looking at? My list is York, Exeter, Durham, Oxford, Nottingham and Leicester. Exeter any good?

You watching the game, your list is very similar to mine, apart from i doubt leicester. I want to do law, what about you. My parents kept nagging me so i looked it up and they were all like on the 22nd and 21st, which is when i went.

I have been to Oxford, which was wonderful, UCL was good (how comes no London universities).

Exeter is very nice, quite modern, nice facilities, although the bog standard accomadation is like prison cell blocks.

Yes, we equalised after being cheated.

Law? Wicked. I'm going for a psychology or philosophy degree. My dream course is psychology, philosophy and phisiology mixed degree at Oxford.

I think I'm just going to have to organise some individual visits. Sadly I don't think I can afford living in London, as great as that would be.

Christ, it's so wierd. A week ago I was just finishing my ASs, now I'm doing UCAS forms and I suddenly feel so old! Where has my childhood gone! And for the record, the referee's a ****. Heh heh, at least France are out now too. Damn, what a wierd tournament this is...I think Portugal could do it.

I used to want to do PPE, but my politics teacher has so promoted it that there are gonna be liek 10 people applying to oxford for it from my class. Oxford is amazing, if you wanna visit universities (hell i still book a day in advance), look at their websites and book.

Living in London would be possible (you automatically get bigger loans, especially if you are from outside and oxford etc. are pretty expensive too).

And Sweden. :D

anyway back to my journal

Well on Friday night I went out to a party. It was not auspicious as i basically invited myself as its my ex's new boyfriend (im neutral towards her but shes hurt as i dumped her after she cheated on me with him, and he and me are fine).

And then i turned up half an hour early (i got a lift), and she (my ex) had cooked him, his mum, his brother and a few of my m8s supper and they were just finishing, so i kinda felt as if i was interrupting.

Then my phone battery died and i needed it as i was getting a cab home, so i had to ask his mum to borrow her charger (she seemed grumpy, but was actually safe). Not a good start.

Anyway it hotted up as more people came, the ratio m:f did not look good, but it got a lot better. I chilled with my friends for a while and then started to mingle, i started speaking to some people (goths) that i had never seen before.

Then more strange girls :)) ) turned up, had to mingle with them. I met some old people who used to make my life miserable but they had turned and so had i so we got on fine.

I also made friends with some dudes (who it later turned out stole the hosts wine, from his fridge with the beer, so kinda excusable) and who were just really safe. I gave them coronas and they gave me stuff back to.

I also found out that this HB around a 7 fancies me, all the girls had refused to tell me who this mystery gal was for weeks (which i think i had handled well, they all told me that a gd looking gal fancied me, but i played it as everyone fancies me :D), although when drunk, tongues are loose so some jealous gal let slip who it was.

I then went off and found the gal, i already have her number, but she had a **** block friend who just did not physically let go of her and i figured go try my luck elsewhere.

It was a long night, which i enjoyed. I flirted with lots of girls, too many of the fit ones have boyfriends though, but i did get some response from them. However, it all fell through and i did not score, not a happy bunny ;(.

But i was nice to his brother who then was pretty safe back.

So lessons learned, be friends and share your brew: a) u get better social skills b) more people like you c) they and all their friends give you beer, recouping your investment.

And the other major one, i have to be more aggressive in physically closing with girls. I have the right attitude but not the necessary confidence.

anyway some of this played over onto Saturday night :)

Saturday Night

Well Saturday i kinda had a small hangover and was tired as i got up at like 7 cos my lil bro was having a party, but had gained kudos when my bro had picked me up with two of my fit friends (one of whom i had rejected) and who my m8s tried to hit on.

I made sure they later found out i had rejected the fitter of the two. Kinda sneaky but hey . . . :D.

Anyway i helped with my bros party (he had a bouncy castle, damn i should invited the HB9 who had expressed an interest in it on fri, man i gotta get more organised). Anyway the day was cool, the little kids parents were all impressed with me.

I had this party in the evening (for whom the hosts wanted us to be prom like, why are we so obsessed with americans). So i was borrowing my dads dinner jacket suit. Anyway i had two friends round to come and piss around on the bouncy castle, one of them came in a suit (retard, so he couldnt). But anyway my dad gave me a lift to a threshers (posh wine store) and bought me some czech lager and vodka while i picked his pizzas, safe deal. Cos i am underage, i can get served in pubs, clubs and off licenses but posh wine merchants are harder.

Even better one of the parents from my younger bro offered me and my two friends a lift to the party in his car with like DVD players and stuff. Talk about safeness.

Anyway we rolled round to the other ones house (he lives like 100m from the house where the party was, so he could get changed) and waited for a long time while he got ready. Lesson learned, do not keep your mates waiting for you to get it right, be prepared.

I was in this smart dinner jacket suit with a pirate skull and crossbones (white on black) T-shirt underneath and a clip on earring (hangover from my bros pirate party). I thought it looked cool and as my mate, said, i stuck to the letter of the dress code not the spirit. Bare jokes.

Anyway best finish this half of tommorrow morning, its bare late already, nite guys, sorry to cliffhanger you :D. Sorry for boring you.

sounds like you're doing not too bad for yourself

did you say you're bro picked you up and he had a bouncy castle party later that day

you're going to do law eh? i just finished my first year at glasgow uni. good news is, at least here, there are shytloads of HBs studying law. Bad news is a lot of them have boyfriends far away and are only there to study. pm me if you want some tips about first year

that totally sucked that the girl's mum was with her. not too much room for c&f and sexual innuendoes eh? it would have been super smooth if you had written your number on paper and slipped it in her pocket or gave it to her in a handshake "it was nice to meet you" + slip the number

that's a good lesson to learn about saying anything at all. i always find it easiest when i'm just speaking my mind, without giving away the list of all the people in sight that i'd like the fvck. e.g. (i've done this before on a train - where it seems like it's illegal to talk to people) man walks past with a texan-looking hat on and i give ec to the girl opposite me and say "man, i'd love to own a hat like that, i bet it would look good on me eh?" - smiles all round. It nearly always works if it's a positive comment.

Oi! JSH, cool journal, man. I REALLY like your idea of making a summary of "lessons" at the end of each entry! You should keep that up. I'm definitely gonna start doing that in my journal.

When you say "bouncy castle" I assume you mean "spacewalk"-- a big inflatable playpen of sorts, right? Those things RULE! They are made for kino. The "kino chamber" if you will. You should definitely invite chicks to join you in those things :D.

Don't sweat that girl with her mom. I wouldn't have asked for her number either.

Something I noticed is that as I grew older and stopped going places with my mom, people were more open and receptive to me. They started acknowledging ME and being friendlier toward ME. Mothers just block out their kid's social prospects.

That pirate outfit sounds like like a hoot.

You are obssessed with Americans? That's because we are the best at everything!! Muuuwhahahahaah *cough cough*.

Brits have some funny slang. I'm sure you think the same thing about American slang. Safe? Is that like "cool" ?

Aighte well take it easy, mate!

yeh, where did that "safe" thing come from? i've never heard that, even from one of my english mates.

i suppose i've got my own list anyways:

sweet
meaty
beautang
oh betty

etc lol

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

@ gav, i hav four bros

I want to do law or PPE, havnt decided yet, although law i think is a better bet as more places offer it. I gotta get in first but i will and are you doing law.

Yeah it kinda sucked but not really, as if the mum hadnt been there i doubt they would have sat opposite me. In addition i coulda (maybe under the table but it might have freaked her out). Although i shoulda layed a stronger game. I was amused though as the mum didnt think that i had been to the open day as i was quite smart, chinos, nice leather shoes, proper shirt. She halfway through the conversation when she twigged i was her daughters age asked if i had been looking round the university. I was amused. I think the mum choose to sit opposite me as i looked quite mature and decent. Score 1: always dress slightly smarter than everyone else will (as GQ would say).

I was thinking about writing it down, even slipped my nice posh silver fountain pen in for the day. (I always carry mints/gum, fountain pen, phone and money). However, i stuck it in my bag so i wouldnt leave it and spent the whole journey there looking for it. I still had biros and stuff but if i had the pen i woulda felt more confident (funny eh :D). I always could got her to put her number in my phone. However, i also thought she would get off at London Waterloo with me. Damn, damn, damn. When i figured she was going and i had missed my chance (i think she deliberatley pissed around waiting for me to ask, damn), i kinda made out like i was ultra relaxed and it was no big deal for me, chatting to a new girl. :D

Say anything, yeah, i just analyse everything and then the moment goes and im so absorbed in waiting for the next moment i miss it. Ill keep in mind saying something positive (i tend to go with inquiring as a way of gauging IL but often they then shut you down as a kind of test.

safe is kinda london rude boy slang, its like cool but also like safe. They are kinda a homie. Im not that kind of person though.

@Duke - i figure spacewalk is kinda similar, i know some HB who is always open and often volunteers to do stuff asked what i was doing that weekend. It sllipped my mind, if i had remembered i would got her to come round, damnations as well.

Mother's do stop their social prospects its true, im pretty independent now and go most places on my own. Its good, more direct interaction.

I thought my outfit was good (but the earring had to come off it was pinching my ear), recieved a few compliments but the people who were underdressed and those who were wrongly dressed like in a morning suit were very critica of me although i did recieve a few compliments.

continuation of saturday

I cant remember much important about the party, i met some new girls, unfortunately none of them were fit. This girl i used to have a crush on and rejected me cos she had a bf split up with her bf, my mate.

One thing does stand out, my friends were all trying to get with this girl (one of my brothers year, the yeaar below, whose bf is his mate) and they all were gonna speak to her, but none did. I figured i shoulda especially as i knew her, me acting as a) the intro for them b) giving me social wings, but she was always deep in conversation with her mates but especially with a boy in the year above me. I think is shoulda gone in when with her mates but i was a bit tenative. (Note to self: always go with first idea, unlike Odysseus). They were all scared, i think im soon gonna be ready to be the kinda leader or at least be challenging for it.

Other stuff, bare people knew me who i had no idea about. BEWARE: girls talk and reputations spread, i dont know what, jsut that they had heard a lot about me. (cant be too bad but cant be too good as i used to be kinda mediocre). Also people from the past come back to haunt you (she used to bully me hardcore but shes changed and believes in brutal honesty; not a good thing, the amoutn of people she offended in liek 10 minutes of conversation). omission is the best policy

I also met the safest (literally understand it) guy that i had met on friday and chilled with him. I had set him a beer on friday and he gave me back one when the hosts managed to lock themselves outta their beer room. so make friends and be nice, its a small world Oh yeah and im glad i did not listen to my friends and how htey thought it was rude to bring my own stuff, i brought four cans of lager and a fat posh looking bottle of vodka (it was literally pure ethanol), this let me share the joy and more people owe me drinks now. I think i kidna get taken advantage of by some but then for every two Fvckers i make a good friend.

Other stuff, people tried to put me down and steal my joy, i did not let them. Then i went back to crash at a mates house, had a nightcap and went and played badmington (i cant spell it) in the dark in his garden with him (crazy fellow) but it was jokes, me in my boxers as i was not mucking up that suit.

Summary: i can not stress enough, go with that first instinct
or the beauty of social proof, achieved by being nice (not in an AFC sense, but in pleasant way). So be nice to people and trust your gut feeling, it tends to be right. First impressions tend not to lie as they find it harder to hide themselves as they dont know what you are looking at. (theres a short story on this on the friday i met a very large boy, a goth, who i spoke to, found out his name and had a slightly nice chat in front of my m8s, we were sitting down and he kinda walked outside exploring onto us. However, he told us his nickname 'crabs' and made a feeble joke, dont worry its not infectious. Personally, i think it was because of how his hair was styled, but everyone else was amused and i kinda think it killed him with us). Those first 8 seconds matter, use them well and trust quite well what you come off with. Although also try to keep an open mind about people, it has benefitted me.

aight apologies to everyone i have been away and ill, but in summary i scored and picked up some girl at Durham on the university trip. However, i got really emotionally screwed up on my school DoE trip by a girl i had oneitis on and then comprehesnively got over, a year or so before i found this. It did not help that she started flirting again with me and ended up dating my friend my the end of it (the only other boy in my screwed up group and hes more of a wanna be gentlemen although i found out he did hit on my ex while i was away and she was still mine.)

Sorry about this and sincere apologies to Cloud who i promised i would help with his summer games, but im goin away 2night for 2 weeks to a sunny country, ill be back for a week and hopefully be able to continue posting.

Luv ya guys :))), well i dunno how ****ed up i would be without you.

Apologies

Heh heh, don't worry about it.

Likeing the journal, very safe blud:D Damn, sometimes I wish I was a rudeboy. Oh wait, no I don't:p.

Sounds like the Uni stuff is going well for you, PPE at Oxford right? Sweet, I wanna do PPP. Did you look arround the colleges? Man, that is one pretty place... Tell us what you think of Durham!

Keep going with the journal. I have a personal diary, and it is great for keeping yourself motivated, and for learning.

yo, im back in england for a week.

I managed to do most of what i wanted to do, although the running plan was basically scrapped because to sleep you have to go to bed so late that you cant get up early enough that its light but not yet hot (like 5). Done a lot of swimming to keep fit, got a tan. Alls good. Met some nice girls except unfortunatley most of them were foreign (i can speak a little spanish, french and some german), so that ruled out meeting up with anyone back here.

The most amusing thing that happened was on my last day, sunday, i had some random good looking girls (french, swiss or belgium- i used a little bit of french to chat with them) randomly started taking pictures of me on the beach. Strange, reckon next time ill charge them

Neway ill bve around this week :)

well hey iv managed to piss away most of this week doing nothing. Although i visited warwicck which was quite nice. I still have the same problem about girls being with their parents, all the girls were chaperoned by their parents, at least by their dads. I still managed to talk to some pretty ones but unfortunately no luck. Neway, i also saw Shrek 2 which is so funny, theres a girl i know who i am gonna watch it again with because she loved the first and the allusions in the 2nd are even better. i also saw cruel intentions 3 which is a bit ****ty really.

I have been challengeing myself to outstare everyone else now and am coming along quite nicely with it, although there are tiumes when i kinda flinch from it. Still working on it. I find that if you and a random girl lock eyes, you get such a boost of confidence cos she checkin u out as well. Definatley one to remember.

Alright well im leaving home in about 3 hours to go off to sunniness again. In retrospect this week has been a waste of time. Iv seen films and rubbish, but havnt actually accomplished anything, apart from downloading a hell of a lot of porn, which i promptly wiped. Today has been the first day where iv actually done what i was meant to do and even that feels ****. Ahh well, keep with the faith guys.

Happy hunting
