Is this normal? I tell her to initiate it lol
Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.
You've been "getting ready" for two years.
She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.
Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
You are right. I told her to just call me if she really needed to call me, but she's done it three nights in a row. Will just saying I'm too busy p!ss her off?OnTheRun said:A high quality guy is too busy to speak on the phone every night. Doing so will demonstrate you are not high quality and eventually turn her off.
Reasons you don't call every night:
-Absence makes the heart grow fonder
-Protect sense of mystery
-It leaves interesting conversations to be had face to face where they count
-You have the time do stuff that men (rather than teenage girls) do
-All of the above will count in her favor and you'll find the relationship more interesting too
If you call her every night it is because you are afraid that not doing so will result in you losing her. A strong relationship doesn't depend on calling every night. A strong man isn't afraid of losing a woman in order to set appropriate boundaries.
A high quality guy is also too busy to post on internet forums, so what? I doubt OP is trying to pass himself off as Donald Trump or something. Are you OP?OnTheRun said:A high quality guy is too busy to speak on the phone every night. .
I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.
The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.
Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.
Smells to me she's pulling a powerplay move on you for control... Talk to her and re-assure her that everythings fine and ask her indirectly whats the motive behind her asking such a request. Whatever you do, do not agree to that...Dhoulmagus said:Is this normal? I tell her to initiate it lol
You have completely missed the point.sylvester the cat said:A high quality guy is also too busy to post on internet forums, so what? I doubt OP is trying to pass himself off as Donald Trump or something. Are you OP?
The key is not worrying if she's pissed off. If she has any kind of sane, genuine interest she's not going to be put off by her boyfriend having his own life.Dhoulmagus said:You are right. Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.
She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.
Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.
So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.
The words come later. The impression comes first.
