Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
This reads as sulking. I understand you are trying the reverse psychology angle, but it isn't necessary--she obviously has contemplated these things already, and the best way to make her dwell on them is simply to carry on as normal. Don't let her move change your life, and stop bringing it up to her.aix237 said:I made a couple of jokes tonigth with her and said
"wow we got 60 days together until we never talk again."
"We should make a to do list of things we should do before we go cold turkey with each other forever"
"Ill make a calendar for the countdown"
"We are going to maybe have to pass two tests togehter. The first test is to see if we can save this in 60 days and if we fail that test we have to take test #2 to see if we wont crack and never talk again. I've passed #2 before."
She was like uh your off, why are you saying that, stop being so dramatic. I was laughin the whole time.
You are deluding yourself. She WILL go through it unless you nip it in the bud and break up with her now. If it'll make you feel better about it, you can even take her back in a week when she comes begging (though I don't recommend it). But doing nothing is going to prolong your misery, and inevitably, she will find it in herself to leave.aix237 said:Its basically if i stand in her way somehow she wont go through with it cause she doesnt have the power in herself to pull the trigger and she changes her mind. If this relationship is going to end im the one who would have to do it and go through with it. She wont. im debating. Im goin out a lot more now so if i find someone pretty soon her azz is to the curb with a quickness.
Haha, this is the battlecry of the oneitis AFC's who are beyond hope.aix237 said:I know my actions are like as you described but the whole point yea I can act needy right now just as long as its not everyday. Everybody acts needy you cant tell me you never have. A girl wont automatically leave if one day you act needy. She probably fills good seeing me act like that, but heres the thing. I act needy today she feels comfortable is getting what she wants, then the next im like well whatever I dont care, take away, in which case shell be like why doesnt he care all the sudden im losing him. If I want i can flip the switch and I have. Ive been with her long enough to know what she reacts to and how she is. There were times towards the beginning where she would be so set in her ways of us not being together I would push it and act needy then she would shut down then I would then she would come running back...this was done uncalculated.
To get what you want in this world you have to manipulate the situation. YOu cant say thats wrong because Im sure everyone here is needy in a way but the disguise it with a girl to not let her see it. Im not saying overall needy but at certain points this is done.
When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.
Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.
Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.
The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
She really doesn't think she deserves a dude that makes 500k a year, otherwise she'd attract and be with one of them dudes, right away.aix237 said:God she really thinks she deserves a dude that makes like 500k a year right away. Well all i know is the dudes shes dated in the past. All non educated losers that got nothing on me and thats what shes going to get again if she decides to leave. I got a bachelors and Im finishing my masters right now. I know previous guys shes dated have a bachelors at best and are all push overs. I let that be known to her also that im not scared and not a push over like all her previous dudes. I also highly doubt shell find a guy that drives an 08 mercedes like myself lol.
I am surprised that your 'suprervisor' did not discuss your dyslexia with you when you submitted your masters' dissertation.aix237 said:... a Littl ehard ....
You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.
She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.
Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.
Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.
Because in addition to all his other achievements, he is also a world class computer hacker, so any attempts you make to snuff him out will be futile!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!speed dawg said:Why hasn't this punk kid's IP address been banned?
You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.
Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.
She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.
Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
