My female boss

I have this HB8 as a boss. I've received mixed signals from her in the past but I've dismissed them since she's is my boss(indirectly), she's married and I consider chicks at work as off limits anyways because of the obvious.

Anyways, the other day, I'm on the phone and she walks by without looking at me. A couple of minutes later she walks by again and looks at me(still on the phone) and asks "Is that your girlfriend?" and then walks away.

What the hell is up with that???

Sounds like you haven't really "dismissed" her otherwise you wouldn't have posted about her asking if you were talking with your gf.

To the original poster, no it's not an indicator of interest. It's common for a boss to take interest in the lives of employees (when I was in management I knew most of my employees down to the last detail). By building that kind of rapport with a client, you establish more trust and it makes it easier for them to do their job (i.e. i don't have to yell and threaten them to stop them from slacking).

As for the mixed signals, I'd advise you not to act on it. Most women in charge tend to have flirty personalities (it comes with the power and confidence), so it's easy to mistake their platonic personality for one that's full of interest.

My advice? Don't sh!t where you eat. Be professional, do your job, get your pay and f*ck women you're not financially attached to. And never get tied up with a married woman, that sh!t is nothing but trouble.

Sounds like you wouldn't be a boss for long. Alot of people use the phone for business reasons instead of personal.

Even if you were using it for personal reasons, it makes me wonder why she would even ask if you were talking to your girlfriend or not. What does that matter? Unless she was jealous or something...

Maybe she's just feeding the office rumor mill. Some of the girls in the office might be curious about whether you have a GF or not, and your boss is just getting the scoop. Who knows, but I wouldn't read much into it.
