Working out and women is always a bone of contention.

The nay'sayers cry "I see skinny boy over there with hot women, therefore working out is redundant when it comes to matters of love"

The bodybuilders cry "I am muscular, I am man, I am alpha, the more muscular you are the more women you get."

At 16 I was 150lbs, 5 ft 9 12% body fat and strong for my weight. I wasn't overly muscular but I had a good physique. I would say in the top 10% of males in that age group in my area. I got a lot of attention off women on a constant basis, these women range from very hot through to not so hot

Fast forward 7 years later I am 180lbs and 20% body fat. I would say my physique is just above average for my age. My face is rounder and clothes don't hang as well on me. I get some attention however this is mainly from average women.

There is a huge difference.. I am much more successful now than I was when I was 16, I have more money, higher status job, however the women I am getting has gone down in quality and quantity.

For me, the key is this... It is not the working out and the body what makes the difference. It is the mindset which is demanded of me through being in the gym and improving myself.

I started working out and got women, I linked these 2 together as cause and effect. The cause wasn't the body, it was the mindset of self improvement which was the cause of getting women.

The more I progressed careerwise the more women I got, again it wasn't so much the status as much as the mindset of self improvement which got the women.

When I was 16, I had a sense of self, I didn't know which way I was going with my life, I just wanted to improve myself in every way. How I dealt with women, how I handled career prospects, how i looked physically were all things I wanted to improve upon, and I did. I got where I wanted to go, I had the hot women and I had the status of being a company owner. My status and the women I'd been with/was going with became who I was.

I stopped improving for myself and started trying to improve myself for other people and how I was viewed in society.

Every time I got back into the gym or got the motivation to work harder, I found after a short period i wound up sat at home, feeling down and eating dominoes. This is because I had stopped improving myself for me, I had got back on the hamster wheel of pleasing other people.

I became a slave to social media, looking at how many likes pictures had and getting my phone out at every opportunity to try and improve my social proof, break that cycle, delete the apps off your phone and focus on you.Having all the cool posts on facebook in the world doesn't mean jack sh1t if you are doing it for other people's validation

I am an advocate of working out, if you are massively overweight, working out is a good thing. I do think women are attracted to athletic muscular guys initially, just like men can't help but stare at a great rack! That being said, there are many levels to how women are attracted which are subconscious as opposed to the direct "sh1t he's hot". I can appreciate that hitting the gym all the time isn't everyone's cup of tea and if you have other goals, pursue them!

Self improvement for yourself is the key to acheiving your goals.

A lot of this resonates with me.

And for anyone reading this thread, please note the following. A great body, alone, means next to nothing in terms of pickup anyway.

I know this because I have gone from a skinny kid to having a great physique (think mens physique competitions, big shoulders, little waist, but 10-13% bf....steroid accusations weekly)

Now I train as a hobby, for myself. And can tell you that my body has only worked to add to already existing attraction, so bare that in mind...it will not bring you anything/much you couldn't have gotten

No e-bragging here, if you look at my other posts you'll notice that I'm fully open to the fact that all other areas of my life need a lot of work. This is the only area I'd give advice on.

I'd say yes, as the body alone has netted me little attention by it's self. I'm not saying be a fatass, but an average body vs abs & wide shoulders means not much when you take into account all other variables.

Male strippers tend to be hard bodied with abs and cuts for a reason. Because it drives lust and passion in females.

Ya and perfect tits are great, but you put them on a girl who is otherwise 100% unattractive and it doesn't change anything really. She might go from an 0 to a 1...

On it's own it's cool, but if she isn't interested in you, a six pack isn't gonna save the day. I do take your stripper point, but it's a bit situational.

Your example is like a porn c0ck on an ugly guy, that alone will not get him laid. But some women might be curious to see it. Now that same porn c0ck on a good body with the appropriate confidence and hes getting tons of play. A full built body often supercedes a face. It will be attractive,

I've read so many debates over the DJ-usefulness of a great physique, and I've never understood why it's ever been debatable.

In my mind a well-built exceptional body is an accomplishment that is SCARCE--and to paraphrase David DeAngelo: you make something valuable by making it scarce.
Phds are scarce but that doesn't necessarily mean that they're valuable in terms of smv (also no one gets a Phd because they think they might get better lays)? I think being a Phd intimidates a lot of women and they fear that anything they say might come off stupid. It does attract some women but not the model types.

I agree with you otherwise.

The usual "nay sayers" who are against/indifferent to getting in shape and adding muscle are the fat, lazy and undisciplined.

you know your posts more then likely come from a narcissistic mentality, its less about the girl and more about you, physical capabilitys impress, yes, but you need to know how to use.

then again I do my workout btw 3-5 times a week, and what I say is you should do it because you want to get better for himself not because it will make easier to score woman,

being ripped can help? yes, but will not change much if you keep the old mentality or being afraid to go out and talk with people, what you can notice too is if he was a fat guy and become ripped his confidence will get a huge boost and that is what will make him score more

Working out does make a difference

1. Women ARE more attracted to guys who are in shape/better looking

I don't care how good you are at game, if you get that fat, balding guy from RSD and a clone of Brad Pitt with dreadful game, 90% of women are going home with the pitt clone, sorry that is a fact.

2. Being in great shape AND being strong, raises your confidence

If you are a little weak guy, or fat and very unfit you are more susceptable to being intimidated, and you can be prone to losing or lowering self confidence. If you are fit, strong and healthy, this is less so. Also, when you are in shape people DO treat you differently, and i'm sorry but this is a fact.

I have been skinnyfat, 6'0" 180lb with 12" arms and a 36" waist, I have also been 201lb with 16.5" arms and a 31" waist, and both during times when i was AFC, and i got treated better by orders of magnitude when I was in shape, Women were much nicer to me and showed a lot more interest and guys were way more respectful and didn't try anything or take any pot-shots. I was so much bigger and stronger than most guys in the clubs or out and about, and even customers at work, that there was almost subtle intimidation, which instantly leads to them respecting you straight off the bat.

This is a FACT you get treated better which can only help your confidence.

So yeah there will be guys who say it makes no difference and it's all about game but i'm sorry those guys are WRONG.

Game helps, sure, but improving your physical appearance helps too. Anyone who denies that is talking out of their ass, if you want to figure this out, make two tinder profiles, one with a scrawny, average joe and one with a ripped, fitness model.

Talk to women as the scrawny dude using "mad game" and see your dreadful success rate, now log in as fitness model and use a lame, low confidence approach and see how you get way better results.

Sorry for the half-rant but this subject annoys me as people often deny the obvious truth here.

The way some dudes talk is like womens attraction will actually go DOWN if you are in better shape, it's just laughable.

I don't train to get girls, I train because i want to be fit, strong, athletic and healthy. It improves my life. More attraction from women is a welcome by-product.

Even better, learn to REALLY fight, on top of being fit. Women LOVE learning karate, guys, and they end up wanting to bed the guy who's teaching them, too, for a fact.

My 2 cents there is that definition is way more important here... you went from 12 to 20% so yeah. I used to believe in "work hard, eat lots" but that just got me big. Girls would recognize that I'm powerful but not be interested on their own. Since I started cutting my diet some 2 years ago, even my face has gotten more defined and I get lots more attention these days.

I've seen a lot of swollen guys that are basically virgins. If you spend all your time at the gym then there isn't enough time to make money, develop style or knowledge. You end up being a buffed up guy in terrible clothes, no cash, lousy house, junk car and have nothing to talk about. Yes it would be great to have all and there are exceptions (those with lots of inheritance, sponsor/commerical type) but for the most part it's almost impossible and something has to give.

I've noticed that guys who are well-balanced but still well over average in every aspect are what women want, and also who men want to be. Also you need to remember that when you earn a dollar then it's always going to be there (unless you spend it) but with muscle if you leave it alone then it vanishes.
