Why do they call it "phat chord voicing"

I understand what voicing is, but what is the acronym Phat mean?

If you're talking about guitar, I can tell you that a barre chord has a "phatter" tone than the same chord in open form.

The open chord is less defined, whereas the barre is more distinct.

It simply means, superb, or first-rate.

The deeper, more practical inference is that the voicings are filled in well with interesting or unexpected extra notes and advanced timing tricks.

On keys, it could mean taking a chord voicing that is normally fully played with the left hand, and instead, playing the lower notes of the chord 1 octave down, and the higher notes of the chord with the right hand. It has the effect of spreading the out and making it fuller.
