Just saw Will Smith's latest movie, "Hitch", and though it might be appropriate to drop a few comments concerning it.

For those of who are unaware, "Hitch" is a romantic comedy where WS plays "The Date Doctor" . His character could be best described as PU consultant where he takes AFC who are all locked down onto one girl and creates a series of opportunites so as to get them. The movie eventually follows the typical romantic comedy formula where WS eventual falls for Eve Mendes and sheds his player image.

While very AFC, the story is not what is important. Throughout the film, WS really demonstrates the skills necessary to be a DJ. He is always dressed well, takes interest in the people around him, and comes across as someone who owns his own life and is not dependent on others.

I think in many ways, this is the most important part of being a DJ. WS is beholden to no one but himself. He makes his own rules and inspires the others around him to do them same. While he cheeses out in the end (as typical in these movies), the fact is he does it on his terms. The trapping of success that he demonstrates throughout (The hot chicks, the clothes, the awesome apartment) come from his ability to flaunt the rules and live on his own terms.

Beyond this, WS also gives some great examples of how to use C+F and Neg hits ( basically all the stuff he used in the bar in the first 15 minutes). While of course it just a movie, I think it does show some good example of how to DJ.

Is this a good movie to see on a date? Or does the main character in the movie look so 'slick', that it would make you look lame by comparison, to the girl you're on the date with?

I would say that no movie is good to see on a date. Going to movies for dates is what every other guys does when he goes out with a women, dinner and a movie. I'm not saying to never go to a movie with a women, but only do it after you've already had a lot of other dates with her.

From what I hear though, this movie was hillarious. Someone told me about the great C/F type part where he handed the woman a $20 bill in a bar... that's great...

Totally. But funny thing is I don't even date women. If they are ****ing me to show me how much they love me well then yeah then they will start being rewarded with dinners. And I'll take her to a nice ass place by the way. Otherwise, I'll either rent a movie or go running, even play a sport. Go for ice cream. Take her with me on errands. Something that isn't a date.

Remember if you she is ****ing you well then dates are okay. Till then make her pay for her own way and don't date. If she objects well send that gold digger on her way.

I was going to post about this last night too. I thought the movie was pretty good; it had its funny parts, but I don't think it lived up to the hype. The preview made it seem bigger and better than it ending up being. It was still funny and I still recommend it.

In terms of the DJ stuff, Will Smith plays the game in accordance to his rules until he falls in love with Eva Mendes. The movie reminds me a lot of "Two Can Play at that Game" with Vivica Fox and Morris Chestnut, where it is the girl that realizes that "there are no rules when it comes to love."

Another thing I want to point out. I'll be a little vague because I don't want to play the role of spoiler here, but in the movie Will Smith tries to help an AFC accountant guy land a blondie that works for the same company as him. Even when they were out on the date, the guy was oblivious to many of the things that Smith told him not do (still danced in a wacky way, etc.). Still, the girl ended up falling for him, and I think the message being conveyed here is that women will like you for you no matter what. Kinda unrealistic.

To answer a question, Movies dates suck unless they are just excuse to make out.

It was funny too. I'd see it again and I get to watch movies for free.

While Hitch does display many DJ-esque skills, he kills his whole game when he said "there are no rules". I think that's pretty off, there definitely are, because AFC behavior is exhibited in the movie too.

i think the idea wasn't that there's no rules, it's that it's not a trick by any means. it's him educating men on the proper way to be with a woman.

but he doesn't do it in the fashion that you have rules which you must follow, but things you should know in order not to blow it with her.

So technically he's right, but that isn't how others see it.

Definitely a good movie to watch

Most of you should pray to be as smooth as Smith in the movie. At the end he didn't wuss out or loose his manhood, he went after what he wanted and that in the end was love, and for that love he did what he had to in gettin the girl. Falling in love with a woman isn't a bad thing, unless you want to be lonely for the rest of your life and you're happy with that decision.

While Smith was smooth, because after all he's big Willie, let's look at what he did:

-He was "in love" in less than 2 weeks time. Gimme a break.

-He bought the girl drinks

-He's incredibly rich, that gives him status

-He jumped on top of the frickin car to chase after the girl. Tell me that wasn't chumpy. Oh sure he was in love, but after she treated him like sh1t? Right. Girl bashes you in huge newspaper, and your friend, still in love my ass.

Aside from this movie being funny/entertaining. There was some DJ stuff in it too. WS's character is smooth and is always making witty & C&F remarks.
For those of you wondering about that part where he gives the girl money, basically what happens is theres a swarm of guys around this hot girl and WS goes up to her and gives her a $20 and tells her what drinks he wants pretending like she works there and he walks back to his side of the room. She follows and tells him that she doesnt work there and he says that he knew that and something like "how else was I suppossed to get you away from all those guys?..." (sorry cant remember the exact words) It seemed pretty good, except I'd be pissed if the girl decided to just walked off with my money
Anyway though, I enjoyed it and while it does have some AFC parts in it (what you expect, its Hollywood) I like how Will Smith carries himself, he's confident and smooth in how he acts.

When the DVD comes out, they should release it with alternate endings as special features.

Everything was pretty good and realistic until after the drama unfolded and he resorted to AFC tactics to land the girl, in the typical hollywood style.

Had they ended the movie 30 minutes earlier, I would say it is the perfect example of what a man should do and how he should carry himself. But that ending wouldn't appeal to the masses who want to see the wuss boy come out on top. They needed to feel good about the ending, so they made sure to slam anyone who uses "techniques" and have the hero go AFC or what they call, "being himself", LOL.

At no point do they ever make mention how women know and play the game a lot better than men do. How women have many "tactics" to manipulate, and deceive men (make up, plastic surgery, and professional dating). Haha.

eva mendes, is the only worth while thing 'bout this movie. I think that ppl shouldn't go too far outside of themselve, in order to get women. He basicly told kevin james not to be himself and in the end being himself is what got the girl.

Most guys just need balls, a life of their own, pedestal knocking self-belief, and confidence. Let the game respond to you.

hey guys

probably like a majority of the north american population, i saw the movie HITCH the other day and...geez what do you guys think of this?
can this ruin the little edge that we have on women? is this gonna make every guy aware of loev doctors everywhere and screw up the the basic system that we know and love?
or can this in anyway be good for us?

i honestly think some of the stuff that Hitch did in the movie was outrageous and would be an insult for the average DJ... like taking a girl out on a water skiiing trip on the first date....talk about trying to impress a girl too hard...

I haven't seen the movie but if it stars Will Smith and is made to be popular it won't reveal any secrets.

It will push the company line that a man will get a woman if he gives up doing anything but JBYing and telling the girl how he feels.

I wish there was some hope for hollywood movies but there isn't.

man....do the math.

for arugements sake lets say that 50 percent of men are either married or in a deep commited relationship.

10 percent gay

5 percent don't shag for religious purposes.

15 percent aren't profcient enough or wealthy enough to A. track down this fabulous sub culture or B. pay for bootcamps or materials.

thats 80 percent of the male population by my estimates that will never access or have use for this material

Now im sure some of these AFC's will consult some lame love doc like the character will smith plays..but they will never get into this community.

My 2c on "HITCH" ...

The movie "HITCH" was a very good movie... but the aim of that movie was to make people laugh, not to be taken seriously... and yes, some of the things that he did was good, like when he 1st met that girl in the bar and left when she didnt expect him to, that was good.... but i garantee you that 99% of the guys watching that movie woudl see it only as a movie and will never actually take any of it seriously... the aim of that movie was to make people laigh, NOT to teach them how to Mack chicks.

But i must admitt, it was a really good movie in my eye's, made me laugh alot.

Laterz...
